zelda 3 movement would work wonders... its a shame not many people use it these days.
Link to the Heavens Released
^^ But it has also been very buggy. At the time this quest was being made, there were a lot more issues with it as well. I can completely understand why this was not even considered and why this quest was kept in 2.10.
of course. also, where is the key in dungeon 2? i have explored everywhere and got the power glove and the whistle. i am stuck at a lockblock blocking a teleporter i assume leading to the boss key in the chest in the room prior.
Did you miss the key two rooms above the entrance? Kill the Darknut and then push the block. It's obvious when you look at it but extremely easy to pass over. Had me lost for a bit.
ah, lol! thanks for pointing that out 😉 i did notice it first time through but never thought about it once i got the gloves.
level 3 done, 1 death so far and no potions used... where do you get potions from?
Hello hello. First, I would like to congratulate you on this quest. It has a very good design and semi-challenging puzzles (The hints kind of give it up most of the time...Just have to take the hints LITERALLY...) So I've played for 7hours and I'm now in level 7. Kind of a complex level, took me almost an hour to reach out a dead end where I ended out with the wand and lacking a key to get the bracelet. My clock is now at 9 hours, simply for attempting to get this key. 2 hours of running around... of looking at these two closed doors and this invincible ghost... So many monsters I ran through over and over again... I even got my first death! (Was sick of fighting...You guys know how it is when you run in a circle for hours...) I decided to look out at the spoiler for all key location in level 7 and figured out the one that I miss : 3rd basement room 20. I indeed came across the stairs to go down to 3rd basement in the NW section, but I am not able to continue...
*Edit* Haha. I just figured out how to get through it! *Does the happy dance*
Now for side-subject, I've been playing ZC since the beginning and I think this is the quest with the best dungeon/world map design I've played. Is it possible to do multi-room puzzles? Those would be so great! Anyway... Nice job on this.
P.S. Was Zora Training Ground really supposed to be hard? Or am I just insane for beating it without getting hit once?
*edit* I was wondering, with all those questions, if you would be interested into having a walkthrough for this quest? (I could build up one for you pine)
franpa wrote:level 3 done, 1 death so far and no potions used... where do you get potions from?
Potions can be bought in various shops spread around the map, but the best prices remain in the south-east shop in the starting village.
yes i find having the majority of the items found in dungeons and not on the overworld... makes it much less likely you will miss something and you do make some things rather obvious which is also a positive (IE: most important items on the overworld are placed in tiny challenge chambers and not just scattered behind layers or something on the overworld.). so far the brain over brawn approach is working wonders for me and I'm thoroughly enjoying this quest of yours.
keep up the good work and I'm playing on Zelda Classic beta 18 build 718.
EDIT 1: how to get to dungeon 4?
EDIT 2: i figured it out, or at least im in the snowy area with blue armor.
how to get the raft/flippers from dungeon 4? i got the magic boomerang and have explored everywhere and now have NO keys left. i believe there is a wall i need to bomb or something but can't figure it out.
there is one locked door, it is below a L shaped room with the top of the L on the right. there is a boomerang switch to the west and a arrow switch to the north. the room below has 2 bats and some spike traps. where is the key? or do i get it after the raft or something?

Good. So the blue armor cave bug with 2.5 is fixed then. Well Pineconn, I think all of the 2.5 bugs have been worked out. I think. I'll go through again and makesure there are no more 2.5 bugs left.
I am in Lvl 5 B1 Room 13 ( the one with the movable lanterns and the pool of water. I have moved the laterns around many different ways and nothing happens in that room. Am I missing something?

You don't get the flippers until Lvl 5. You might need the key that is in the room outside the boss, if you have not gotten that key yet. Kill all the darknuts and a chest will appear with the key. This is just one possibility.
See how the lanterns line up with each other when you push them? There is an item to obtain.
I am having problems with the candle. I have been using it in level three burning bushes but now it has seemed to stop working! What is up with that! Is this a bug? Thanks. Using 2.10.
Eddie 😎
The candle uses magic. Your magic meter just ran out! There is a green bar at the top of the screen, under the health meter. That bar is the magic meter. If it runs out, you won't be able to use items that use magic power. These include the candle, wand, lens, and Din's fire spell. To refil the meter, just pick up those little green jars that some enemies drop.
Akroma wrote:P.S. Was Zora Training Ground really supposed to be hard? Or am I just insane for beating it without getting hit once?
It's supposed to be difficult for beginners, really. I didn't want to make this task impossible for newbies.
Akroma wrote:*edit* I was wondering, with all those questions, if you would be interested into having a walkthrough for this quest? (I could build up one for you pine)
Honestly, I think a walkthrough is unnecessary since Zelda Classic's fanbase isn't large enough for it. But thanks for offering.

Cool, you noticed this. 😊
Dan Furst wrote:See how the lanterns line up with each other when you push them? There is an item to obtain.
Well... that's just a red Rupee...

As russadwan said. Additionally, you can get magic containers (which increase the amount of magic you can hold) by playing the Ocarina near a Cucco statue. (You also can buy a bomb upgrade by super bombing a Link statue.) You can either buy magic refills in shops or get them via enemy drops, especially Bats.
how expensive are magic upgrades, bomb upgrades? i don't feel like wasting my time just to find i need more money.
I'm not sure, but I believe they are 100 rupies. But I'm not sure.
I think the magic upgrades were free - at least the ones I had found were. I forget how much the bombs cost.
why do you guys use map co-ordinates when talking about things when there is no way to see what is where based on this? unless your a heavy quest maker or something you would have no clue of where your talking about.
for some weird reason, i DO have a key on me... i wonder why i never noticed it before god dammit.
EDIT: ok, since i found out i HAD a key, i eventually got to where SoulTexan told me where a obvious key is :P now i need to figure out where to use these 3 keys -.-
Magic upgrades are indeed free. The first bomb upgrade is 25 Rupees, the second is 45, the third is 75, and the final is 100.

For example, the red room is 14 and the green room is 75. If you have the map, it should be easy to tell which room is which.
MUST i go through the zora training grounds to get a key? or is it some other prize?
franpa wrote:MUST i go through the zora training grounds to get a key? or is it some other prize?
Yes, the training grounds hold a key that you must get. Just take advantage of the health panels in each corner of the traing grounds, try to stay in the doorway to fight, and you'll be fine.
all doors are shutters mate 😉 other wise i would stand in the door ways. thanks for the tip about the healing pads. i kept thinking they would take me backwards and like the last corner you would need to go that way or else be forced back to the start lol.
i think evilly.

I though they would take me back to the start to. Then I accidentally steped on one.
Edit: Post 850. Only 150 left to go untill I hit 1,000.
hey, so i got the hookshot and uh, can't figure out where to go now... i have no keys left.
EDIT: i figured that out, now the room on the far left in the middle of the 3 im in stuck in... i got to the bottom but cant get out of the room now... i believe i need to bomb the south wall but i got no bombs. and there are no blocks to hookshot to get out of that room.
edit: ok i have gotten everything except the BOSS KEY. i am missing a key for the lock block before the boss key. there is a pool of water with stairs under it, and 2 fire shooters, 2 like likes and 2 red goriyas. how do i lower the water here? i believe that is the key i am missing from beating this dungeon.
^^^^ You have to dive in order to access that stairway.
franpa wrote:all doors are shutters mate 😉
Yeah, all the doors are shutters in the 1/3/08 update. 😃 I figured it was too easy, so I "fixed" it.
Question!
Has anyone ever walked into a boss room, and instead of the boss appearing, the Heart Container appeared?
i believe thats a bug in the latest beta then 😉 you can;'t enter that stair while diving. could you test/report this in the beta bug reports?
franpa wrote:i believe thats a bug in the latest beta then 😉 you can;'t enter that stair while diving.
Seriouisly? I'll check and see if it is.
