Pineconn wrote:Uh... that looks like a 2.5 bug.

But it works in 2.10! 😃

And it's worked in 2.5 forever. How do these bugs slip in!? Now, if only I could get around to confirming it, I could report it. But as soon as I start up ZC, I get hopelessly sidetracked, and always forget what I was doing it the first place.

ok, is it possible to get the level 3 sword after/before dungeon 5? is it possible to get the red armor at the same point in the game?

Great quest - however I'm starting to feel a little frustrated.

I'm in lvl 5 at the 1st block maze. Seems like I have hit a stone wall and can't seem to find a solution. I'll take any hints or solutions anyone has. If you would prefer to PM me that would be fine.

Thanks

Chip-On

franpa: Sword and armor are later, but I forget how much later. Also, I think that bug is not related to your crash.

gekos: Level 8.

chip_on: Basically, you always have to leave room for yourself to get behind the block to push it. Start by pushing the bottom-right block up.

Hello all! I have finished level 3 and I am working toward level 4. I need to know where is the blue ring and is there anything else I need to do before entering level 4? I have found where to buy more bombs what else? Thanks for the help!

Eddie 😎

Franpa, what is the bug in that room in Level 6? Just a crash?

chip_on wrote:Great quest - however I'm starting to feel a little frustrated.

You're just starting to get frustrated now? 😃 Heed my words and don't forget them: You'll be pulling your hair out in Level 7... or at least I hope. Every quest needs a hair-puller.

Nope, you can go straight to the Snowy Plateau. Hopefully you are using 2.10, since if you're using a 2.5 beta below 718, you won't be able to get the Blue Tunic. However, if you're using 718, you won't be able to complete the quest at all due to a compatibility bug.

yea crashed upon entering it with the standard windows error dialog box popping up... i just took a screen shot and cropped it while the error was shown.

rank newbie here to zelda classic - for the life of me I cannot figure out how to lift pots in the town, nor open doors on buildings that are shut, or read signs.

What am I missing, something really simple?

TIA

pots you can't pick up but you can slash them with the sword.
Not all people talk , if you stand infront of them and they say nothing then they don't speak to you , atleast not at that point in the quest and maybe not at all during the quest.
Not all houses open , some will open further in the quest , and sometimes you need a bomb
Have fun playing 😉

Hmmm.... it's just odd because all I can do is get the rupee for my new hat, play the gambling, buy some bombs, I've bombed the one room in the house to see all the pots/bats..... talked to the person who said I should go to the house with the blue roof to get the sord, door in the blue roofed house is not open. Pretty much stuck, I don't see what else I can do. I also tried tossing bombs in various places to see if they open and they don't.

Maybe this is a problem with the latest release that was just put out 1/3/08? I've never had any other versions of ZC engine or this quest on my machine before.

TIA

Yeah, you can't open any houses with closed doors. Signs are just for decoration (except for the wall panels in Level 7 -- they are critical).

Remember that ZC started out as a The Legend of Zelda clone, a game released in 1986. 😉

Okay, now for something interesting. How about pronunciations and a little more background?

Narajo (NAR-uh-ho)
Chodina (cho-DINE-uh)
Hestone (HESS-tone)
Sparsi (SPAR-see)

I liked creating fake 3D Zelda overworld and dungeon maps (similar to OoT) when I was younger. These 4 names were created with my last 3D map project about 4 years ago. Also, they indeed did correspond with their respective LttH areas (forest, swamp, etc.). Interestingly, another area was Overcast Heavens, which was a sort of warping hub (which also gave me the idea of the hub dungeon that the Ocarina warps you to). All of this gave me the inspiration of what you see today.

Great job on the redo...now I can't beat Vaati. Thanks a heap.

(Not that it won't eventually happen...it's just taking a few more tries than I thought it would...yeah...that's the ticket...I'm going to go cry now...)

EDIT: Wow, that was quite a ride...only problem is, when I tried to go to Hyrule Castle, it was still the Volcanic Wasteland...

What version are you using? It worked fine for me.

2.10.2...I went through the whole ending and such, talked to Link's mom...I did go and buy potion, so maybe that triggered something.

franpa wrote:No, 2.10.1 and 2.10.2 are more buggy then 2.10

What!? I though the only difference was that 2.10.1 and 2.10.2 fixed some bugs that were in 2.10. I guess I was wrong.

Need help guys, I am in a room on level 4 that has two platforms and I can raft between them but I cannot reach a chest that is in the corner. How do I get to that as I think this is my last key. Thanks.

I just fixed it (before I read your post). When I created the new portion of the boss, I forgot to send Link to the DMap that would trigger warps that would send you to Hyrule Castle. Unfortunately, you won't be able to view Hyrule Castle without the level 4 cheat... which I will PM you.

So I ask that everyone that reads this downloads LttH v1.2.0:

Update 1/11/08!!

Please download Link to the Heavens version 1.2.0 for Zelda Classic now! It fixes two bugs: one that wouldn't allow you to see the unrequired area after the final boss, and one that would put some shadow over a place that shouldn't be there (very minor).

Click here to download LttH v1.2.0!

When you unzip it, remember to overwrite the old quest file and old text file.

I apologize for any inconvenience. If you've beaten the final boss in version 1.1.0, you won't be able to go to the new area (which is only 5 minutes long). However, if you haven't beaten the boss yet, you will be able to!

Download the 1/11/08 update in the post above!

Now for my regular posting.

gekos wrote:How do I get to Level 9 F1 33?

This screen doesn't exist. Do you mean another screen?

The red room is 14; the green room is 75. Also, please download the update in my post above.

Nope, that is accessible with only the flippers. The possible locations of the key you are missing are rooms 51, 63, or 66. To get the key in room 51, you need to bomb the wall from room 52. Also, please make sure you download the update in the above post. 😃

Where is the Ancient Crypt at? I got the info from the house in the Sandy desert and he said it was South west of his house but I can't find anything there. I have found the cave that requires the cross but I cannot find the Ancient Crypt that contains the cross to complete it. I am in the wrong place? Is there someplace else I should be after finishing level 5 before going to the desert?

I believe on one screen, there is a 2x2 pile of animal bones you can bomb. And there is a cave you can bomb open. I don't remember exactly where the crypt is, but just remember to bomb the piles of bones and you should be able to find it.

I found the one cave under the bones that has the heart piece but I cannot find anything else under any of the other bones.

Dang, now I have to open up ZQuest two times in a sinlge day. 😊. In the bottom left corner of the desert, there is a screen with some sand conveyer belts, each with a centipede in the middle. Kill all the centipedes, and a staircase will apear. This will take you to Level A, where you get the cross.

Thanks for the help. I thought I had killed everything in that window but I apparently missed one of them.

they updated allegro amongst other things which introduced new bugs. im aware pineccon confirmed what you said.

SoulTexan, head south-west of his info house and find several quick sand traps with enemies in them. kill them all and complete the dungeon.

pineconn update your first post with the newest update of your quest.
