Like I said Pineconn, some people found Zora's Training Ground incredibly easy, while others found themselves pulling their hair out. I luckily was in-between the two, taking a couple tries with potions, but without using the doorway trick.

Hm... I very much could. I'll look into that.
Merlim402 wrote:Thanks for the follow ups. Nice quest! I have a question; I have found the other key I needed for level 5 and have explored all I can and can go no further. I have received the hook shot and I now have 2 keys. What to do next? Thanks.Eddie 😉
You need to exit Level 5, then go west two screens.
bose wrote:Pineconn, I have been to all three of the locations you listed, I mistakenly said swamp instead of the cave at the lake. I did use the "heaven trail" key in level 4, but then when I completed level 4 I got the key just outside the boss room by killing the enemies. The only thing I didn't get in level 4 was the chest you need the flippers to reach. I even got the key by cutting away the curtain. Could opening the main entrance to level 5 have some how used two keys instead of one?
I don't think so, as long as you are using version 2.10. You are, right?
If you haven't already, I suggest that you double check and make sure that you definitely did get those three keys. You may have gotten one of them, but then you quit without saving. If all this fails, tell me. I have one more solution. It is last-resort.

We'll call the people who thought it was easy Group A and the people who thought it was incredibly difficult Group B. The thing is, if ZTG is hard, it will appease Group A, but make it impossible for Group B. If ZTG is easy, it'll disappoint Group A, but it'll still be possible for Group B. Therefore, I have to make it easier than harder.
I just started this quest, but I can't even find the first sword in the town. Some girl is saying, that it should be in the blue house, but I can't get in there (door is closed, bombs don't work). Help!
You aren't the first to ask this! 😛
You know that you can't enter through the door... so what other method is there to enter it? All I can say is that you need to take a good look at the screen west of the blue house.
yes, the house has another opening 😉
In Dungeon 5, there are at least two different spots you can fall down from... this is important to get through the dungeon.
Does "heaven trail" have one or two keys? I went through it again and found a key, but it was the first of the three needed for level 5 that I found. Maybe I didn't save it but I usually save my progress all the time. Can't believe that I was going crazy over that. How many keys should I have after the first entrance of level five is complete (before I use the hook shot to get to second entrance).
afaik its complete once you have the hookshot.
Pineconn, I think you are going to have to use that last resort.

There is only one key up in Heavens Trail. You'll find two keys in the first portion of Level 5 with the Hookshot. So am I correct in saying that you were missing the key in Heavens Trail and we don't have to go to the "last resort" russadwan and I are talking about?
Pineconn, I have gotten past the issue which prompted my original post, but I will almost certainly run into more problems very soon. I've been looking through the posts since I first started playing LttH because of the little problems that keep stumping me (loc of level 2, blue tunic, etc) so I'll probably need more help soon or "the last resort" now. Thanks for the quick responses.
Dan Furst wrote:You give me too much credit. 😊All of you who dislike the don't-reflect-the-fireball-with-the-mirror-shield rooms can dump your hate on me, though.
Hi. Yeah, those rooms suck. Bye. 😃

Actually, the "last resort" is an extra key hidden away in the game, but without any reference, you'll never find it (even with the Lens of Truth).
On a side note, did anyone find double magic?

I didn't.
Having a blast with this game, but I'm stuck in the Sealed Chamber. Have the boss key but can't activate the crystal before hitting it with the boomer to enter the boss room. Help please?
When you say "double magic", do you mean the magic upgrades? And if not, was double magic in the earlier versions of the quest?
@Pineconn
About Zora training grounds, I think the difficulty is perfectly OK if, and only if, you got both the tunic and the 2nd sword. I got stuck there because I didn't have what I needed... And I couldn't figure out that I didn't have these things.
russadwan wrote:I didn't.
bobrocks95 wrote:When you say "double magic", do you mean the magic upgrades? And if not, was double magic in the earlier versions of the quest?
I guess that nobody has found it. It has always been in the quest. You'll want to look around the Graveyard with the Lens of Truth.
jhaymaker wrote:Having a blast with this game, but I'm stuck in the Sealed Chamber. Have the boss key but can't activate the crystal before hitting it with the boomer to enter the boss room. Help please?
This switch is actually triggered by a bomb. You need to lay a bomb (try to be as close to the obstacles that will change as possible), then run for your life. And in other news, that isn't actually the boss room. 😉

Hm. I think I may still make it very slightly easier (I'll leave the 4th leg alone, though).
Pineconn wrote:I guess that nobody has found it. It has always been in the quest. You'll want to look around the Graveyard with the Lens of Truth.
Why couldn't it be as easy to find as in End of Time. In EoT, you put it in a bug palace, on a screen that's only purpose is to house tha magic upgrade. But in LttH, you hide it in a sprawling graveyard, and make us use the LoT to find it. Magic upgrades are supposed to be easy to find, not difficult. Remember LttP, or OoT?
Was it in EoT? Crap, I missed it in my recent, albeit quick, run through. 😃
The double magic upgrade is by no means necessary in my quest. Instead, I added it as a special reward for the Lens of Truth-happy players. The Fire Boomerang was originally there before I moved it to Level 9.
Pineconn wrote:I guess that nobody has found it. It has always been in the quest. You'll want to look around the Graveyard with the Lens of Truth.
I actually found it in my search for the Lens of truth but yeah I agree that without it you usually won't find it... Unless you like disturbing the dead with noisy stuff or in other words, pine favorite item in this quest! 😉
Now there's an hidden key you say? Hmm... No wonder I didn't find it since I simply followed all the hints in the quest! Time to check out behind everything and dive everywhere!
I didn't find all of the magic containers tho... Is the magic bar supposed to be full? If so, I lack one. Is there one in the heavens? *search search search*
How many rupies have you hidden around? There's like one per 4 maps!
Also since I didn't comment since I beat this game, nice work on the last boss! I actually died once on it! I was just decieved to see that the "boss" of it was one of the easiest part of the challenge, but it's very nice congrats. Unfortunately I can't access Hyrule Castle (version problem) But now I am going to do the quest again... And this time... No extra stuff! (such as tunic, sword, hearts that I'm not obligated to pick after killing a boss, PoH, magic containers, extra bombs...Wish me and my 3 hearts luck!)
Nice work. Best quest I've played so far, and I played over 100!
P.S. After seeing this awesome quest, is the other one you created still worth playing pine?
Akroma wrote:

Of course the other one is! Pineconn's other quest, End of Time, is a work of art. I suggest you play it.
And by the way, you will never find the hidden key, no matter how hard you look. Never in a million years.
What happens after I get the two items at "the end' and the guy kicks me out?
Akroma: There is magic in the bonus area after you complete the game. If you are using 2.10 and have downloaded the latest quest update, you should have no problem getting there. I have no idea what beta builds would do.
gekos: You've completed the game! Did you get all of the heart pieces, bombs, and magic? (And, he kicked you out because you attacked him. 😛 )
Dan Furst: I think I'm 3 heart pieces short. What about the two guys guarding and entrance that leads downstairs?
gekos wrote:Dan Furst: I think I'm 3 heart pieces short. What about the two guys guarding and entrance that leads downstairs?
That leads nowhere. At least, I am pretty sure that leads nowhere. Now that you have beaten the game, I suggest you try Pineconn's other quest, End of Time. Link to the Heavens is a better game, but if you liked this quest, you will definitly like End of Time.
Thanks russadwan, already did the End of Time. Both were excellent and my hat goes off to Pinncon, Dan Furst & all the others who helped put it together. Thanks for a great job!!!
Pineconn wrote:I just fixed it (before I read your post). When I created the new portion of the boss, I forgot to send Link to the DMap that would trigger warps that would send you to Hyrule Castle. Unfortunately, you won't be able to view Hyrule Castle without the level 4 cheat... which I will PM you.So I ask that everyone that reads this downloads LttH v1.2.0:
Update 1/11/08!!
Please download Link to the Heavens version 1.2.0 for Zelda Classic now! It fixes two bugs: one that wouldn't allow you to see the unrequired area after the final boss, and one that would put some shadow over a place that shouldn't be there (very minor).
Click here to download LttH v1.2.0!
When you unzip it, remember to overwrite the old quest file and old text file.
I apologize for any inconvenience. If you've beaten the final boss in version 1.1.0, you won't be able to go to the new area (which is only 5 minutes long). However, if you haven't beaten the boss yet, you will be able to!
I was using the version 1.1.0 when I actually beat Vaati Dan, which is why I can't access it. But thanks for telling me that I'm not blind and I didn't skip over it! Now I can stop desperatly searching lol.
Akroma wrote:I didn't find all of the magic containers tho... Is the magic bar supposed to be full? If so, I lack one. Is there one in the heavens? *search search search*
You should be missing two (or possibly three, since the info guy says there are only 5 magic upgrades, yet there are technically 7). Two bonus Magic Containers are in Hyrule Castle Sewers. You start with one and you'll find one in Narajo Town, Narajo Forest, Hestone Mountain, Lake Hylia, and Sparsi Desert each. 2 + 1 + 5 = 8.
Akroma wrote:How many rupies have you hidden around? There's like one per 4 maps!
Yeah, there are a ton of Rupees in the quest. 😉

If you wish to play through again, you should download the 1/11/08 update to fix the Hyrule Castle bug. I guarantee it'll work this time. Yeah, and have fun doing the minimalist quest. 😃

The thing is, people with the 1.1.0 update have no way of triggering the quest to send you to Hyrule Castle IFF they already beat the end boss in 1.1.0. Otherwise, it'd work fine.
russadwan wrote:That leads nowhere. At least, I am pretty sure that leads nowhere.
Indeed it goes nowhere. It is there just to show that Hyrule Castle is truly bigger than what you can see.
Thanks to everyone who has praised the quest!
Quick question, I am in level five and I am in a room with water and 4 Candle stands that move. What am I supposed to do here? I have the boss key but can't find the boss! Thanks.
Eddie 😎
Move the torches and dive where they cross to find a rupee. The boss door is within the third entrance.
