I'm Stuck in level 5. I have the hook shot and found the second entrance but, I cannot seem to find the flippers. I have been wandering in circles for several days and don;t seem to be going anywhere. the only paths I do see I cannot seen to access without the flippers or the third entrance. Where are the flippers and how do I get them?😞

Here are some basic nudges. You should be able to gather enough keys through the 1st and 2nd entrances to be able to unlock every door leading to the flippers. (You can't get to the 3rd entrance yet.) Basically, there should be a locked door that you can get to but not through. The key for this door is attainable with the hookshot. You'll have to search the whole dungeon for it. (It's not outside the dungeon.)
Thank you for the hints. I have another question though.
I have one key. which door is it and which entrance do i go through to get to the flippers?
We have the the key that you get with the hook shot. but we can't get to any of the doors to use a key. which entrance and which door and how do you access it to get the flippers? Please be more specific for we have been wandering around level 5 for three days straight and we can go no farther.
Just in passing, allow me to cast my vote for "most annoying rooms": The rooms where you have to push blocks onto switches, but if you accidentally reflect a fireball onto one of the many crystal switchs with your mirror shield, google-eyed statues pop up on the switches and you have to start over. Those suck. That is all.
@ Xosalpha: There are two keys in the "main" part of the dungeon that you get with the hookshot. They are in rooms 65 and 53. Next, enter the second part of Level 5 (across the hookshot trees). You'll immediately use the two keys on two locked doors; then, you'll encounter a locked hookshot block. In this room (43), fall to the room below and nab the key. Use this key on the locked hookshot block and hookshot across the pit. It's relatively linear from here.

For example, the red room is room 14 and the green room is room 75.[/center]
@ patrickab7: I love those rooms. 😃 You have to discard all means of protection; in other words, you can't be afraid to get hit by the fireballs a lot!
And I'm stuck again....been there are few days. Level 5, I have everything, even the master key...but I'm missing one last key to get into the third entrance. Is there something in the room with the movable torches and the zola?
In other news I managed to get a controller to work with this. This has decreased my death count dramatically.
All there is in the room with the movable torches is a red Rupee. You have to move all the torches until they cannot move any longer, then dive where they cross in order to get the Rupee.
Using the picture two posts above for guidance, the possible key locations are:
B1, room 53
B1, room 54
F1, room 37 (swim via F1, room 55)
B1, room 73 (dive warp via B1, room 35)

The Dive Warp. ..I saw it the first time through, but forgot completely...There were a couple places you could get money in that dungeon weren't there?
I'm in the cave after the ancient cave. ...3 crabs? evil.
There were a few places to get Rupees... and even more in Level 6. But in order to enter Level B, you need to pay a pretty little price. Darn excavators.

Me? Evil?

Yes. Though I've found a sort of relief in having the shield eaten...I can hide IN the like like and kill the knights....Not that I've gotten past the 3 crabs. But I've only tried 3 times. I don't admit defeat till at least 15 times. ^-^
So I take it that you have the Cross from Level A, correct?
I made this cave in Sparsi Desert a little difficult on purpose so that nobody can get through the cave without the Cross. Even if one may get through this cave without the Cross, I made every enemy in the last 3 dungeons invisible.

Oh yes. I found the cross cave first. Oddly enough I had no trouble in there.
So EVERY ENEMY in the last 3 dungeons needs the cross?
Wait wait wait... you mean you got the Cross from Level A, then went into the cave that you need the Cross to get through? Or am I not understanding this? You have the Cross, right?
Ajh wrote:So EVERY ENEMY in the last 3 dungeons needs the cross?
Well, yeah, since you should need the Cross to get through the cave in the desert, you would never know that the enemies are invisible. But if someone could possibly get through that desert cave without the Cross, he or she will be in a lot of pain.

I got the cross from the ancient cave before i even found the current cave. And I know when there are invisible enemies. The damage they do to you isn't invisible. ^_^
Okay, good. I thought you had gotten through the cave without the Cross. Okay, back to fixing the boss.

When you update the boss if we download the updated quest we still keep our save files right?
Correct, you'll keep your saved data. All you have to do is replace the quest file and it will update.

Agreed. As I was going through those rooms, so many times I almost opened up the quest and edited them out.

What about the room state carryover that keeps you from playing the boss again?
First of all, my compliments on creating a worthy Zelda game. 'Tis quite clear you put a lot of thought into making it interesting.
Now my gripe. 😉 Some of us that aren't such good game players are going to be turned off by the difficulty. I'm in level 1 with that horrible crab, and I'm doing good just to get to the crab from the entrance, much less get an arrow off without getting killed. (Yeah, I know about the shortcut, and it doesn't help much. Loading up with potions beforehand isn't helping much either.)
Along the way, you face a couple of rooms filled with Moblins and other enemies that, in most Zelda games, you don't see until several levels up. I understand making it challenging for players who find things being too easy, but what about those of us that aren't so good? (To contrast, I don't recall having this much trouble with "A Link To The Past" and certainly not with "Wind Waker".)
How about an easier version for us amateurs? 😉
On a side note, possibly discovered a bug. Bought two Superbombs from the Goron in the cave (with my heart warning beeping constantlythat crab nearly did me in as well) and headed over to the Swamp. Don't know if I got killed along the way or what, but one of my Superbombs disappeared. Had to go back and buy another one to use at the other location the Goron mentioned (which meant more annoying running around and hacking grass and bushes). Using ZC 2.10, so version shouldn't be an issue. Assuming a continue was involved, do you not get to keep your purchased items? Or is this indeed some sort of bug?
No doubt I'll get flamed for saying it, but I would love to have a Pro-Action Replay right about now. I love the exploration part of Zelda games, but just walking around is getting me killed left and right. Yes, maybe I suck, but I find there is a very clear difference between "challenging" and "hard". 😊
Hello all! I just finished up Demo-EX and man was that a blast! I started this quest and believe it or not I am not sure how to get the sword? I got the clue about the man in a blue roof house, but the door is closed. I have been everywhere in town. This is not good, just starting and having problems already. Thanks.
Eddie 😎
Never mind, I found the vines to climb on. I do have on other question, I seem to be short a key in level one that is holding me up. I found the two around the dungeon on the outside, is there one I am missing? Thanks.
Eddie 😎
Did you try bombing some walls? Try bombing to the left in the room that still has a locked door.
Thanks for the reply, I found the arrow, but do I need the bow to get further into level one? I seem to have hit another dead end? Thanks.
Eddie 😎
Did you get the boomerang? There is a cave out in Hyrule Field. Go in there, and bomb the north wall in the first screen of the cave. Then you can get the boomerang. Use it to hit the orb in the northwestern part of level 1. Then you can reach the bow.
Hi Pineconn, I really enjoyed your game. I loved the puzzles too. I was frustrated a some points (like those rooms where you push blocks to buttons but need to be careful with your mirror shield) since my player skills are not so good. But in general, I like it. It really shows the time and effort you put into it.
I have a question. Firstable, I must mention that I'm using ZC 2.10. When you are with Vatti, I defeated the red dragon who spits fire. After that, some blank blinking screens appeared, and then ZC closed saying that an error ocurred in zelda.exe. Is that the last enemy? or, did I miss some more action? Thanks!!

That was the last enemy. All you missed out on is the final cutscene, the revelation of who the true enemy is, and the chance to explore Hyrule Castle.

Almost-cheater. 😃
russadwan wrote:What about the room state carryover that keeps you from playing the boss again?
Anyone who hasn't beaten the game will be able to play the revised boss, but anyone (without the cheat code) who has beaten the game cannot see the revised boss without playing through again.

That pretty much was the end of the game. You can go back into the boss door to view the credits (which is what you missed due to ZC's crashing). So basically, just go back to the boss door to continue where Zelda Classic crashed.
Hey, someone rated my quest a 3.
I cannot seem to retrieve the sword at the very beginning. The house with the blue roof is locked. I am using 210. Any help appreciated.
There is another way to get into that house. Try looking on a different screen though.
