Lost Isle RELEASED

Pay attention to clues in the rooms that don't have maze paths as well. They spell out a nice clue on how to get through the final maze room.

Now i'm stuck again, Lv2, I have the compass but I can't find a way further. I have blown a hole to get in a room but no more, please help someone !!

😕😕

Go to Youtube, and search for Lost Isle ZC. It has most of level 2 video taped. Or, if you look a few posts back, I answered this question.

I'm in Level 3, and have got to the room where you spell something out to gain access to the room below (I figured out that puzzle) but can't seem to figure out how to move the block that is immediately in the entrance in the room below? I see the pressure plate in the middle of the room, but can't figure out what to do with it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I must be confused; I know where the boomerang is (using the Spoiler map) but I can't get to it without the step ladder, can I? Or is that the level two boomerang, and I'm just missing the level 1 boomerang?

Now I'm lost again, in Lv 2, have the compass and have opened the blue blocks and heading east, but where is that darn plant ? I just come straight forward and down to the dark side and another blue/red switch

a hint please

Luzil, once you get through the blue blocks to the east of the start, Keep going east until you see the eye statue, and then head north. In the next screen (I believe) there should be a place on the north wall that you can bomb which will help get you farther. I'm trying to do this from memory, but that's the best of what I can recall. Good luck! 😃

You only need the Candle to get to the Boomerang chest up there at the Horgrus Summit. When you see an unlit stonetorch in the Horgrus Volcano caves, lit it and go north to face an evil Gleeok... 😉

And if you are as confused as I am, the candle that you need to reach the boomerang is in the Dasa woods. Bring plenty of ...

I've got the candle...that was a pretty easy find. Just didn't think about trying to get the 'rang before heading to Level 3.

Thanks for the head's up Petoe. I'm sure I'll hit more snags along the way! 😊

EDIT: Got the boomerang; now it's back to level 3!

I haven't checked this topic too closely (so I don't know if this has come up before), but I'm fairly certain that the reason LI's Pols Voice enemies are twice too fast when played in the latest build is because of this change in build 277:

* Initial unification of Vire and Pols Voice code. New default Pols Voice enemies will work correctly. Older quests will need to cut the step variable of the pols voice enemies in half. ( DarkNation, 2007-03-19 10:25:44 )
Hm.

Moreover, looking at the code reveals that there doesn't seem to be a way to retroactively add a backwards-compatability case for this - the version number of the enemy data section wasn't changed between 254 and 277...

That would exlain why when I switched my quest from 254 to the newest build, the pols voices ran around like they were on crack. But doesn't Lost Isle need to be played in a certain build anyways?

Yes, LI is only playable on the specific LI Build, but it is good to know all these little things that could and will go wrong when converting the quest to ZC 2.5...

Well, I'm just saying...

It seems to me that all of the existing inconsistencies between the LI build and the current build can be cured, except for just that one.

(Speaking of which: may I ask what script is used by the cave sparks?)

I believe it was your firestick script from that cool demo where Link could jump and steer a Raft etc. 😊

Hey, what script was used for those orbs that shoot fireballs in Link's direction (seen in lava triforce dungeon and occasionally in level 3)? And just to say it again, this is such a great quest.

Hmm... I'm sure I used one of the new "Shooter" type enemies for that, so no scripts were involved.

And thanks again. 😃

At the northern part of the LIGHT side, there is a big red plant. Bomb it to destroy it and go get your 1st key.

I wish to register a very mild complaint: in that very same dungeon, there is a moderately clever bit involving a pillar and a treasure chest. I placed the bomb, and tried to get away from the explosion by running north.
Next thing I know, I'd stepped into a one-way teleporter that certainly wasn't there two frames ago, dropping me back in the lobby without anything to show for it. Grr.

Yes, it is a minor design flaw, I admit it. It will be fixed if there ever is an update to Lost Isle, that's for sure.

Beat Level-2 This morning.

As of right now I'm searching for a Boomerang, a candle,a large quiver and the Blue Mail. I don't know where they are.

I want to know if I can get to the 2nd Triforce dungeon yet.

After you get the candle, you can reach the first three triforce dungeons. If you ever get stuck on where items are, there is a map that shows where every item in the game is on the official website.
