turn off the power to the lab, go straight through the now defunct laser beam, turn the switch off up there, then turn the power back on and head on through.

I must be walking right by the power switch to the lab. When I turn the power off in the main building, and then enter the lab, the power is back on, so I can only assume there's a switch inside the lab itself. I've explored all of the rooms I can get to, which is everything that's not blocked by the beam or the ladder that needs to be "dropped down." Where am I missing it?

Thanks DFW. Found it, got the key card, got onto the second floor, and then got my behind whooped by the mini-boss. 😃

There's always another hurdle...

after his super LAZER BEAMZ OF DEATHZ! he'll be resting a brief moment. Take that moment to either slash or pump as MANY arrows as you possibly can into its eye.

Walk left and right without standing still and he can't hit you. He'll sweep with his laser either left to right, or right to left then left to right, depending on link's position. After that he's vulnerable, it seems you have to hit him a number of times while he's vulnerable or you can't get past that phase. In phase 2 I forgot what all he does, but I remember him becomming a sitting duck at the end of it and being easy to subdue. In phase 3 it's the same as phase 1, except his laser has a more complex pattern, and there's sparks everywhere.

I got the rod upgrade (thanks for all the help with the mini-boss) and went back to get the mirror shield, but can't find the right angle to light the torch in Cave E. Help?

no angle really except above the upper hole on the lower portion of the floor. Stand above it and look right. Wait for a keese to be around or behind the torch from that angle. Then fire and kill the keese OVER the torch.

Thanks DFW. That also answers my future question about where the Cultist's Cave is. 😃

Thanks Anarchy. Bombs definitely did the trick. Now back to work on solving the puzzles of level 4! Or would it make more sense to go and tackle the Master Dome now that I've got the mirror shield, get the blue arrows and then upgrade to the red mail?

EDIT: Never mind. Just tried that and the Master Dome is still pretty much impossible.

I know a way to get through it. Kill a bunch of bombchus in a room, walk out, and then walk back in. The tougher enemies will be gone, and there will be more bombchus. Do this untill there is only one enemy left in each room. Then the Master Dome becomes a cake walk. It just takes a lot of patience. I got bored doing this, and just moved on through level four again.

You are truly incredible.

That's a genius idea. Thanks russadwan!

Hehe, that is indeed the key to beating the Master Dome if you do not have great battle skills. That trick makes the MD a cakewalk, though as you said, it takes a lot of patience....

I can't find the switch to open gate four in level 4. Where is it?

Edit: Hey look, we posted at the same time.

yes we did!
Anyhoo, the 4th switch is on the southwestern part of F1. Now that you have the Rod Upgrade Chip, you can lit those green thingies on the floor to make them flash and to disable the laser beams. 😊

Hey, im kind of a noob to the quest Lost Isle and i was just wondering how to get to level 1, and what it requires to get there.

Hello Azunai.

You need the items Oderra Bow and Wooden Arrow from the caves below the village, then you need to head to the west where the swamp is located. The 1st level is at the southwestern part of the swamp.

Well it is in the save file.

Flame chip also helps on the level 4 boss, though I'd recommend people save mana for the last phase of that fight.

Yay! I just beat the game! The ending could use a little work though. But I love how you have too escape from the island before it blows up at the end. Although twice that stupid deathbo killed me one combo tile away from the dock. And I like the escape music, but I think the music that plays during the story of Morvayn (spelling right?) would better suit it. And now that I beat the game, where is the fire boomerang? I heard you could only get it after you beat the game.

yea, this is a great quest and i was doing well until the old cant load save file might be in use by another instance messsage comes up.am i done for? any way to fix it? i havent erased em yet im hopin i dont have to, i just got the blue armor and was working on finding the next level.thanks for any info, hope im not screwed.

russadwan: The Fire Boom is on a place called "Last Isle". You can get there only if you saved after finishing the game. 😉

Toxic: What? O_o Can't load-error message? How did that happen? Do you have backup copies of your "zc.sav" file?

No, i dont.least not from before that incident.i made a copy of it n tried makin new ZCs in different spots n loading it in those but to no avail. No idea how it happened.I got the blizzard mail and explored a bit and saved and quit and went back a day or three later and that happened. If i have to start over again i will, but i spent many hours so far in it i already had at least 20 hours i think.Over 100 deaths too.And it took me forever to find that blasted bomb wall in that dungeon with the mail for that final switch.Had the first 4 triforce pieces too as well as the dungeons up to that.I was in the castle i think.
