Lost Isle RELEASED

Of course. I extracted the files into the directory. I also ran the ZC Checker and all the files were in place.

What's so important about the special build anyway?

The specifics of the scripting language and other parts of Zquest differ from build to build. If you played Lost Isle on another build, the enemies and other parts of the game would be screwed up/not work as intended.

I don't know how else to help you other than asking what version of Vista you have. 32-bit or 64-bit?

I have 32 bit Vista.

I'm going to delete everything and try reinstalling it. Here's hoping...

EDIT: Nope, nothing. What a shame.

I got Vista and was afraid how ZC would react. But thank GOD I can play quests on Vista too!! Some people can't. 😞

I got it kinda working on my machine... everything displays and sounds fine, but the framerate approaches 450. So I clicked cap FPS in the launcher, but it still runs at turbo speed. The FPS throttle is off. How can I get it down to a reasonable FPS?

EDIT: Nevermind, I turned throttle FPS back on and the framerate stabilized...

I found a bug of sorts... in the third level, after the ammunition room and the puzzle, there's a room with star switches. If you try to go through this room without a key, you'll lock yourself in and you have to quit out of the game.

Can you get to an outside part? If you can, I think you can use the ocarina to escape.

I've been having a blast with this. I got to lv5, did all I could up to the sandman miniboss, and no weapon I have hurts him. I've hit him with everything I have when his eyes are open. What am I missing?

Are you talking about the flashback of Level 3? You need the Holy Arrow upgrade from the Inner Volcano part of the level. Did you find it?

Good morning guys,
I am ready to start playing LI, i have just one question, there is a way i can play it in Windowed version, instead of full screen ???

Thanks

Here i go again 😊 i got sword, bombs and arrows, but to go go further i know that i will need glove and fire, but i dont know what to look for first. the bow, the glove or fire ????

Thanks,

Ray

PS and i will need some bait ! i only found 1 shop so far , but useless for me

You'll need to look for the bow first. Take a quick look around the village, and see those colored squares on the minimap? There's something special where those squares are. You'll need to use your bombs.

More detailed steps, if needed:
In town, there are two colored squares on the minimap, one south and one west. Go to the location of the west one, and you'll see a building with a broken door. Bomb the door, and head inside, looking for a hidden staircase like you did for the wooden arrow.
Thanks for the tips guys.

I am stucked on LV 1 , what am i suppose to do in this room to open de right door ??
I tried everything.

NM: i passed, now i am facing another long way down, i got 2 keys , and i did no find any door, what is answer ??
NM2: YEEEES: I Got the Raft, On my way to finish the LV.

Stand in front of the statue, and it will open its eye. You need to "kill" the eye with arrows to open the door.

Ok Guys, LV 1 is gone, no triforce piece, i know it is outside but again i will need glove or fire, hundred of ways blocked.....
Any hint ?

Don't worry about the Triforce pieces. They are completely optional. As for the glove, go to where the cutscene after beating Level 1 showed a flower wilting (There's a raft path at the SE corner of Chovin Fields). Once at the Lava Flows, enter a cave where there's a mark on the minimap. The glove is in there.

Ok, so I'm in the Ice level, by that I mean where you get the blue tunic. I just need a brief explanation of where to find that last switch. I know you don't know which one I'm talking about, so if you could pretty much name them all. Also, is there anything in that room with a whole bunch of Fire Octoroks and nothing happens when you kill them all?

Ummm. it looks like I got all the switches, if there are 4, but the doors won't open. I have all the ones on the map. But the doors wwith the flashy little lights won't open, how do I open those?

Ok, maybe I got 4, all of them was upstairs, I have some pictures here:

Sorry bout the double post, but I have another problem, completely different, even though my other one wasn't solved.

Anywho, I'm in level 4 Lab, I turn the power off, Flip the switch for the tractor beam thing, and when I come back, the tractor beam thing is still active, making the game unbeatable, any help.

screenshots please so I can see exactly what you're talking about.
As for the ice palace, I believe you snagged all the switches at least. Some are optional but it seems you hit the main ones.

This Event happened first:

And when I go back, this is what's there:

It's as if the game just all of the sudden stopped room state carry overs, there was this, and none of the Ice Temple doors aren't opening either.

you are playing with the Lost Isle beta right? If not, then I can't guarantee what happens. Otherwise, this is a question you have to direct towards Peteo, he has more indepth knowledge of how his tricks work in ZC. Technically speaking, it should have eliminated the barrier.

Hy Guys, after 3 days off, back to Zelda.

After finish LV 1 , and in the way to LV 2 , i found the Glove, Whistle, Bomb Ugrade, Arrow Upgrade and some HPS, i though i was ready to LV 2 but....

I m walking around , and i made , i think , Every way i could walk without a dead end. i saw 2 walls that you can see a Bomb hole from one side but cant open with bombs in the other ! There is some stufs like flowers flashing red that i could not make act with any of my weapons.
I only found the compass in LV 2 so far.
Any hints please ....

Those flowers, I believe, can only be affected by the Wand. It makes them move aside to somewhere else nearby.

I will admit that level 2 was certainly nothing less than geographically challenging, and extraordinarily well designed. (It's what I love about Peteo and DFW - EXCELLENT Dungeon design. No Hyperbole.) I think it's something that you actually have to make a map for on graph paper. :-/ In fact, make it 2x2 for each room. You'll definitely need it. :-/

... No seriously, go start drawing one up as you go. Get a red and a blue pen / marker too.
