okay..i'm doing rather well now..but more questions still. One, there is an odd looking object in front of the second triforce dungeon that i can't figure out what to do with. It seems silly that I was able to do the 3rd triforce before the second, am i supposed to do it out of order or did i miss something? Second, I read here that you will need the boomerang in the 3rd dungeon, but I can't find it or find a way to get one of the reachable ones listed on the spoiler item map till after level 3. Again, I must be missing something.

Great! now i have that device. I am now trying the "dream place". I've gotten rather far, but it can't figure this one room in which there is a green wizrobe and a bunch of mirrors. Am i supposed to arrange the mirrors in a certain way or kill the wizrobe? Or something else?

If I remeber correctly, you can only kill the Wizzrobe by reflecting your magic attacks using the mirrors. It doesn't matter how you set your mirrors up, just move them to positions where it is easier to hit the Wizzrobe.

I can't go through in Triforce Dungeon 1, after the room with the letter "N" in the floor, I get stuck in that room with the spiky machines. What can I do??

In the Triforce Dungeon 1: I get stuck in the room after the First Room with the letter "N", I can't go through.

I must be blind or something. I can't seem to find a way to floor 2.
I've been all over floor 1 and the basement(i think). I assume that the basement is that part of the dungeon where you jump into the pits, yes?

I've also been down the stairs in the NW part of the floor. I found stairs going up to a part of floor 2 and up to a part of floor 3 but i can't get any further because the switches are on the other side of the blocks.

I've found 3 keys, the compass, the path to the beach cave, but no way to the upper floors. I'm pretty sure i've bombed every wall that i can get to, so how can i get upstairs?

thanks for the help..

Ford Perfect: here's what you do. You've got 3 keys? Firstly and foremostly, go into the throne room and read the sign. Remember what it says. Next, go back to the first screen up from the entrance (the one with the two stalfos and the boomerang guy) and take the eastern passage (the one on your right if you're facing north). Go into the room and use a key on the door that's there (It's the only door there is which is locked, you'll see it). Go into the next room and go up one screen and you'll see a block with a keyhole on it. Use a key on it and then move to the screen on the right. There should be a pit with an ice block on each side of it. Push the ice block across the pit and go to the next screen. Then, enter the dooryway facing north. In that room, kill the Darknuts and enter the westmost room. In this room, kill the enemies and light the torch, then enter the next room. In this room, you'll see some letters on the floor with one way blocks. what did the sign in the throne room say? (there's youur hint). Solve the puzzle and enter the door to the south. Push the block to the switch on the floor and the little stone things blocking your way should retract into the floor. There's floor two!

Hope that helps.

Now, for someone else to answer: I need some help of my own in Bhalstock. See, I've found everything except for another small key to open the Boss key's chest. I've looked everywhere for this small key, and I just can't seem to find it. I've got the ladder, and I know exactly where the Boss Key's chest is, but I can't find that small key! Someone help me and just tell me where it is!

Oh, and on a side note, what's the point of the dream place in the windmill? This mummy guy keeps telling me that "the dead end is the answer". I keep going around in circles there. It takes me to this 'glitch in the game' (says the NPC, those little demon guys who shoot fireballs? Yeah, one of 'em told me that. He was blue)

UPDATE: Yeah, I figured out the 'dreamstate' and I understand now what must be done. But still, I need help finding that last small key in Bhalstock. Someone help!

one key is through the beach cave. Another is on the floor below the ladder mini-game, you could almost backtrack a few rooms and you'll be very near the key. The other is through a bombable wall right before the dreaded icecube bridge forming big room. You'll remember it.

I'm in level 4, mi question is: How can I get te Upgrade Chip?, I'm in the laboratory but I can't reach to the Chest.

Thanks, DFW! At first glance, I didn't think the beach cave had any significance at all. (I had been in there before, but I seemed to have missed the lever that switches off the spikes.)

By the way, I'd like to take this opportunity to say...
Thank you, DFW. You, too, Petoe. This quest is simply marvelous. Also, I'd like to commend you on your other quests, DFW (more notably, Hidden Duality and Isle of the Winds. I throughly enjoyed them both)

thanks stereoman. i had already been to all the places you mentioned, it just never occured to me to keep pushing that block. thot it was just to let me out of the room to the north.

Don't mention it 😃

I already finish the game, I get the fire boomerang from the Last Isle, but I see in the Spoiler map a Picture of One Bomb Arrow in Glathriel Canyon section, How can I obtain it??

Not sure where to start with my issues. lol
Got to level 1. Got a key and a shield and that's it. Can't figure out 'how' to lower the blocks to a big chest on F1. I 'assume' there's a raft? To get to other rooms?

Some rooms I can't figure out what to do. (unless it's not the raft in that chest .. but a guantlet? I 'assume' there are no rooms where 'nothing' happens right?

Also, my overworld map won't work? I saw in a few other posts about a map. Even my dungeon map won't show where I've been. Unless it only shows where you've been once you get the map (which I haven't)?
I 'should' have the latest build --I used the link on the game download page?

I LOVE the graphics and story of the game. But bless my soul! I can't even get through Level 1! lolol I think I might be loosing my touch or something. lol I've had to quit more games than I want to admit recently. 😞 But surely not before Level 1!!!!! lolol

Thank you, with your help. I got the Awsome Arrows, well... i told you that I finish the game and get the Fire Boomerang, but what can i do now??

if you haven't yet, go to the windmill to get the long bow, go to the cave near Bhalstok castle and get the mirror shield, try getting all six triforce pieces, heading for the graveyard to tackle the catacombs for the death sword, try finding the dragonscale mail (red mail) if you haven't. Try getting all 16 hearts and magic upgrades, maybe try and find all six gossip stone caves. There are a few more things to do if you haven't done those.

Lita: Go around the dungeon on the initial floor in a clockwise direction. You'll come across a room on the RIGHT side of that floor where there will be some faces along the northern wall and one looks....weak. Bomb it.

Petoe wrote:Anyhoo, the 4th switch is on the southwestern part of F1. Now that you have the Rod Upgrade Chip, you can lit those green thingies on the floor to make them flash and to disable the laser beams. 😊

I'd like to know where these green thingies on the floor are. I know where the 4th switch is. At this moment, I'm in that very room before the room with the switch (you know, the room with the armos' stuck behind the giant square thing. A portal is in the center of the room so that one might go under the glass and to the other side of the lazer blocking the way in order to go outside and get the heart piece.)
Could someone tell me where these green things are so I can hit this switch and finally move on?

UPDATE: Nevermind. I figured it out. Maan, that level 4 boss was troubble. I died like 20 times on him alone. Now I'm headed for the graveyard so I can finally get my Sword of Death. 😃 (Yes this is my favorite smiley)

Level 4 boss is probably the toughest in the game so that should make you feel a bit more comfortable now. 😊
However, the graveyard boss and final boss can be hards as well if you face them unprepared...

The boss in the Doom cave wasn't that hard at all compared to the lvl 4 boss in my opinion. What made the lvl 4 boss so challenging was his evil, red, pain enducing floor panels of death. The first two phases were enough, but man, that last part where you've gotta learn the pattern of the tiles while simulatenously trying to not get hit by fireballs and waves or enegry...That was intense.
Oh, and by the way, I was reading through this thread a coupple of times just to put myself in perspective (You know, just to see if anyone had already asked the questions I might've had; I would've already had the answer to them without asking) and I noticed that some people said that they didn't have to use the key on the big chest that holds the upgrade chip. Well, I dunno if you fixed the problem or what, but I tried to bypass using the key, and I couldn't. I had to use it...So, just letting you know (and partly just wondering myself)...

Hmm... sounds like it's a random bug then, I dunno. *shrugs*
But at least the bug is one of those "good kind of bugs" that don't screw up the game, instead they help the player.

Hi, I've been playing LI for a while now and I have to say it's a brilliant quest, got past
the first level with the raft, and I have the Power Gauntlet now. Any tips on finding level 2?

EDIT: Found it. Still having sound problems on Vista. Laptop with internal speakers, ZC sounds on,
sound is on, all other sounds can be heard just well...

Hey,
I'm very enthusiastic about Lost Isle, it really captures that old Zelda feeling well, though being a lot harder. I've already died about 300 times in the 33 hours I've been playing now.
I've almost finished level 4, but there's two things bothering me.
1. A lot of the time all colors go nuts and change to some psychadelic pattern (green, purple and blue), which is always solved by just minimalizing the screen and going on. Minor problem, but I thought I'd let you guys know.
2. The second is a lot more irritating:
I've found the upgrade chip for the rod and I'm one room south of the 4th gate switch. Problem is, the green thing on the floor doesn't respond to my rod, so I can't reach the switch. Same thing is the case with the room with the heart piece.

You will need to get the enemies nearby those green panels to be hit with the upgraded rod fire. So that the fire stops and burns on the panel itself instead of blazing right past it and hitting the far wall. It takes patience and a steady trigger finger.
