I've been trying to get past the Scion eye in Level 6 for a few days now, and I understand the idea that you have to use the mirrors to hit it, but after hitting it the second time it seems the mirrors at the top are both blocked by chunks of ice. I've tried everything I can think of to get them to melt, but can't seem to make it work. I have noticed one of the blocks of ice on the right side turns to water, but I don't know what/how I'm doing that, or if it just happens. What am I missing?
Also, I checked back through to see if anyone had posted where the flippers are, and it looks like once you're through level 6 it should become pretty obvious where you need to go. Is that correct? Or again, am I just missing something?
You may not be able to hit the bottom mirrors directly, but you can still hit the upper mirrors to reflect and hit those bottom mirrors.
And yes, it's obvious where the flippers are once you beat that level. But you'll have to get some other things first...

So is it safe to assume using the red wand is what melts the blocks of ice?
I just tried playing the eye again, and there is no way that I can see to reflect off of the mirrors into the Scion eye. It seems that all of the blocks are immobile, except for the same one that keep getting turned into water. I know there's a trick involving that somehow, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. Anyone?
The red candle does both BURN and MELT. And come to think of it, there actually should be at least one block that you have to move...

You have to remember that there are 4 mirrors. You are probably not noticing the mirror on all 4 sides (most likely the SE one). First melt all of the white ice blocks then reflect the wand magic so that it hits the eye.
Then at the end, you have to reflect the magic on the small eyes. Hope that helps.
Thanks Windstrike and Shoelace...I finally saw what I was doing wrong. Now, on to find the flippers!
Hint of advice - don't find the flippers. Find the Book of Flamo and (if you haven't already done so) the blue tunic. I forgot what the other was.

I've actually got those already. I'm on my way to The Citadel to look around and see what I can find in there. Thanks for the heads up though.
Got the flippers and made it to Season Isle, which I must say Shoelace is significantly harder than any of the other levels so far! I wanted to know if it's advised to get the Rain Song from Ian the Windmill Keeper and to help the folks at Lona Lona ranch before attempting to tackle Season Isle? Does it matter at all, or should I go back and finish that side quest first?
If you were doing a speed run, I'd say not until afterwards. But you're not. So...
Getting the rain song gets you Nayru's Love, the absolute cheapest item in ZC (excluding the gold ring... and I mean version 2.10 and not any later version, hint hint) and one of the most vital items in HoD next to your sword, shield, and bombs (bombs are very abusive later...). Also, since you have the flippers, get yourself the red suit. You know how to get that one, right? Pretty easy. That should tone down the difficulty severely on Season Isle... though those darned spike block puzzles will still be a bit painful.
So you might want to go back and hit two side quests, hitting the suits you need to deliver while on your way to getting Nayru's Love. Speaking of which, Shoelace, how in the world did you pull that suit thing off? It's something that's befuddled me for a while... and I'm just a little curious, tis all.
Thanks for the tips Windstrike. I've gone ahead and started playing Season Isle (I got the red suit as soon as I got the flippers) so I'll head back and finish the Windmill after I finish level 7. Those spike traps/puzzles just about suck...even with the red suit!
I Beat Season Isle Before I Got The Song Of The Storms. You Have Every Thing You Need For The Windmill And You Get Nayrus Love Which Would Make The Boss A Lot Easier. I Say You Should Go To The Windmill And Then The Ranch And Get Nayrus Love.
Also In Level 8 A Room Has Spikes That Go Up And Down Really Fast And There's A Weasel Hammer Head That Is Already Hammered Down. How Do I Get Past That Room. Am I Missing Something? I Already Went Past The Place Where You Hammer To Show Where Spikes Are. I Also Have 1 key.
The weasel hammer Head thing you were talking about is up when you enter the room, you just have to reach it as quickly as possible before it goes down. Hammer it, and you will get to the next room. But you do need 2 keys not just one. So remember that the soft sand could be hiding the treasure you are looking for. :P
I Got The One In Soft Sand But Wheres The Other Key?
Edit1:NeverMind I Found That Both Keys.
Edit2:Ok How The Heck Do I Get Past The Last Boss? I Cant Get Pass The Part Where He Uses The Purple Ray!How Do I Get Past That Room With The Winds And Bats And Spikes?
You have to use the Fire boomerang on the unlit candles from top left to right.
In Season Isle, I seem to be missing a key. I made it through the cave, and found the last (?) keyhole, but I've looked around and can't seem to figure out where the key is to go there. Where am I missing?
EDIT: I found the statue talking about hitting the bug during the rainy season, but I when I go to where the bug was during spring, it's not there anymore. Does it respawn somewhere else, and if so, where?
EDIT: Never mind. Apparently I'm just blind.
Shoelace, I must say this is a wonderful quest (I am on level 4). Would you mind if I use the darkworld tiles in the intro for my quest?
The tiles are from the Pure Tileset that can be found at Purezc.com. Just go to that websites and go to tilesets and there are a couple of Pure Tilesets. They will have the tiles you want.
Alright, I've been trying to get through the boss in Season Isle for the past few days, but am having some serious trouble with the final part. I don't want to say any more than that and ruin the surprise for otehr folks. Any suggestions? If you don't want to ruin the plaot, can you PM me any ideas?
Hmm... I am not sure where you are exactly at in Season Isle boss, but this is the order of ways to beat them: Sword, candle to the blinking one, hammer to the solid one, mirror sheid to the solid one, then repeat.
shoelace, how in blazes does one fight the lvl 3 boss? i move the blocks up (only direction i can figure to move them) hit the round things then am stuck with the onr on the right blinking and no way to hit it again. i killed the bats but nothing will me reach the boss him self...so far, lol.

I meant to ask: gold ring?
Two cheapest items in all of ZC2.10 = Gold Ring and Nayru's Love. I honestly don't know which is cheaper, but if you're asking if the gold ring is in HoD, it isn't - having both items in one game results in an automatic victory once you have them both. I'd personally keep Nayru's Love in a quest just because at some points, it's practically needed (*cough cough level 8 cough cough*).
Okay, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
I've already had to use the heck out of Nayru's love getting through Level 8...and I thought Season Isle was tough!
Thanks Windstrike.
Hint of advice: Make sure you have at least 22 hearts, 20 bomb capacity or more, and max magic + Nayru's Love + 1/2 magic before entering level 9.
And tis no problem about helpin' out <-- Tis what most everyone here does (obviously).
EDIT: One more thing (quoted specifically for this level): "Look before you leap." Oh yeah.
I need help.
I'm in the death mountain inferno dungeon, and there are a few things I'm confused about. One is the room in the upper floor at the right side with the pol's voices and the door. How do you open the door?
Also, in the lower floor, relatively far west, there is a room with a bed, a wall, and some helmasaurs. How do I get past the wall, or do I go somewhere else?
On both screens, you have to shoot the statues in the eye with an arrow.
I passed that part soon after I posted. *doh* Sometimes the easiest solutions are the hardest to figure out...
Where is the fifth dungeon? Should I be going to all the Link statues now, and if so, in the lost woods area statue, how do I get past the part with the orb that looks like it should be boomeranged?
edit: Never mind. I just found the dungeon in the graveyard. (Why do I have so much trouble, post here, and then find what I was looking for with no help?) I'm loving the way each dungeon is completely different from the others! I think even the early ones are really clever like the lowering of the water level, and wandering around a castle with guards, and having a multi screen fire boss! I thought that was really cool. Did anyone else get the book before the staff?
Yeah, you can get the book before the wand. But I suggest opening the Link statue in Autumn Town to get the Blue Tunic, if you haven't already done so. :P
