Though you might think you like Level 1, you haven't seen anything yet.

Weird, I was at work when I wrote that, but I was pretty sure I wrote Level 1. I must have been in a rush and put level 3 for some weird reason. lol
oh I'm at 5 now in a days time, so it's not "that" difficult :P (10 hours)
I hear it gets even more... interesting.
Level 5 is the one in the grave yard, right? I'm playing it too, but I haven't had the chance to play it any further.
Thank you for such an awsome quest, Shoelace! Certainly, there's alot to keep one busy for quite a while. I can't wait to see The Eye of the Moon. 😊
Hi, I've read through all the threads on this game that I can find but I'm still stuck at the Level 6 boss. I can't find any way to melt, move, crack, or otherwise destroy the ice blocks in front of the mirrors, and nothing else I've tried has any effect on the eye. I've been stuck here for two days, and this is going to be the end of my quest if I don't find some decent advice.
While I'm posting though, I'll post my take on the quest so far:
Great job, first of all. Love the size and the detail. The dungeons are awesome, and I'm usually stuck for at least half a day on each one. Some of them have taken longer, and I was actually stuck in Level 4 for about two days. Level 5 was also very puzzling - but I think the solutions were brilliant, because they're right in front of you the whole time, you just have to figure them out. Those freakin' "illusionary wall with the borders leading through it" puzzles piss me off every time, and I was stuck a whole day in Level 2 because of one, kicking myself repeatedly after I finally saw it.
I suppose the most controversial point of the quest so far has been the custom bosses. The first one was kind of lame, the second one was good, the third one was alright, the fourth one was lame lame lame lame lame and I think should be redone, the fifth one was excellent and, well, I'm stuck on the sixth one. As for the fourth one, why couldn't you just use a typical fire stream like the second one used? There were just too many events that resulted in unavoidable death for that boss to be any fun...
I also got annoyed with the SE room in Level 4 where you have to use the Ocarina to get past the wall, since there's nothing so show you that you're supposed to use it in that specific spot. Should put a note tile there or something.
Other than that, this quest has been pretty awesome so far. Not too many complaints. I love how vast and confusing the Dungeons are, and the satisfying feeling of finally figuring out the solution to the puzzle that's been blocking your progress for the last hour...
Now, back to the first paragraph - I'm stuck!
Oh let's if I remember how this one goes... hmmm... the eyeball, eh?
I believe there were pretty much three things that I got stuck on in this:
-1) Burn... burn... burn... yeah, didn't quite see all of them.
-2) Didn't you have to push some? I don't quite remember... but you might have to... so this one might be omitted.
-3) (Shoulda just said this one straight off) Ok, look towards the bottom of the screen. You'll see mirrors there, right? Now... I'm going to presume you're on the one where you can't shoot directly at them. But what you CAN do is shoot the upper ones and the reflected shot should head around and his the eye. Same thing in case you can't hit the upper ones - shoot one of the lower ones.
Haven't played HoD in so long... so I can't remember everything off the top of my head.
EDIT: Wait... that last line didn't sound right... ... well... you get the point.
you have to burn the white ice cubes (not the blue ones) the same way you do bushes, 2 steps away, so that the fire rests on the ice. It took me forever to find that there are 2 mirrors at the bottom of the boss area as well.
Now those spirit rangers are getting me. All of em but the last (can't seem to survive long enough to find him) are figured.
oh, btw, does anyone have a copy of the dialoge done throughout level 6. The white on white just was too much to read.
Do you know about the one hidden by the cloud in the bottem right corner?
On the spirit rangers, it is first sword, then candle, then hammer, then mirror shield, then it will be a mix of them at the end. Hope that info helps.
In the Cerbat Shrine, can anyone tell me how to get through the first door that is blocked by fire? I've been all around the areas I can get to, and I've got the key to get through the door but I can't figure out how to turn the fire off. Anyone?
There is a orange cactus, you have to burn it to get the fire to stop.
Thanks Shoelace. Can't believe I didn't see that.

yea, I knew that... it's finding him that's the problem :P
Once again, in the Cerbat Shrine, I can't seem to find the key to get me through the door after you beat the rainbow dragon. I've been all over places I can get to using the switches to get around, but I can't find another key anywhere. Is there a secret I'm missing somewhere? The room below has the pads where you move the candles around and use the hookshot to get across quickly, and there are two "targets" around the first button that I can't figure out. Does it have anything to do with this?
Thanks in advance.
From the flip room that is in the lower right, make the brown blocks go down. Then return to the entrance. One key is found when you shoot the statues with arrows and head up. The other is in the warp to the right and then head down to the Patra. It is either of those that you are missing.
Again, thanks Shoelace. I made it to King Dodongo, and was doing well until the huge burst of fire came out of him. Didn't see that one coming!
One more question; should I have been able to buy health potions by now, or is that something that comes later in the game?
In the level 1 dungeon, I can see the big treasure chest for the raft but I don't know how to get to it. I can also see the Boss doorway but can't get to it. Do I have to bomb a wall in order to get to the main boss? I already have the boomerang and I solved the puzzle to get to the button surrounded by light blue square buttons to raise the water level in that area to go to the warp button.
(I think I know Level 1 inside out... so I'm doing this completely from memory.)
From the start, head 3 up, one right, and then one up. Then head to the top-left corner and start your little journey through the drained water passage. Also, be sure to bring a bomb for that cracked statue so you can get a magic shield.

you could have bought health potions as early as temple 2 (if that's enough of a hint 😉 )
Yes, potions are good to use, Go to TreeTop Village and go southeast of the Village to get the mushroom to give to the potion shop witches.
Thanks WindStrike. I defeated the Level 1 Boss so forward I go. ^_^
Having the potions would definitley make this a lot easier! I can't believe I somehow missed that.
When entering Golden Swamp, I did talk to the old man about the white sword. So I climbed up the ladder and hit the arrow target. Then I tried to burn those three green small vertical trees with the magical candle I found at Wondering Tree, but it didn't work. I tried several times burning the trees. Is there something I missed?
Edit: Nevermind I found Frodo's Hide. 😊
So frustrating... I thought I wouldn't have to ask for any more help, but here it goes:
At the level 9 boss, when it says to "press A and up" what is supposed to happend? I simply just die, every time.
Well, hold up and right before that... thing is going to hit uhh... the actual Link that's just standing there on the screen, slash. May take a few tries with a few timing issues, but you'll get it. And make sure to use good use of your normal bombs when destructive things come your way (I'm doing my best NOT to spoil this).
I'm In Fort Wolfblin Or Whatever And I Found Donmore And I Dont No Where To Go EveryWhere I Go Are Just Dead Ends Or Moblin Traps. Please Advice.
Shoelace Where Did You Get That Cool Link With The Sword On His Back. I Want To Put Him In My Quest Because Im Using PTUX Which The Link Sucks In That Tileset. And I Found Out What I Asked In My Previous Thread.

Got it. Thanks WindStrike.
And thank you Shoelace for a great game.
My guess is he just edited the sprite himself sps999. Adding a sword sheath on Link's back would be some pretty easy customs. But if Shoelace indeed got it from somewhere then he'll probably tell you, but that's just what I thought he did.
I edited myself. And I have released the tiles if you want to use them: http://www.purezc.com/index.php?page=tiles&id=529
By the way, it does seem like you figured out your question about Fort Wolfbin since you didn't mention it in your previous post. But if you do have a question be a lot more specific because I can't help if I don't know where exactly you are and what you are trying to do. It is a big game. :P
