Hmm, I've progressed further, but I've run into something uncanny. In Autumn Town, I was playing around with Ronald's Bow Game, and I made it to the second round. However, either I'm blind or there's simply no target late in the round. There aren't any blue bugs, the red bugs don't do anything, and yeah, I even tried killing all the Octoroks. Is it something crazy like Silver Arrows needed to shoot the red bugs, or is the target invisible or am I just blind or what?
Hero of Dreams
You are just missing the blue one. It is probably behind the tree. You can see its wings if that helps.
I really don't see it at all.

EDIT: I found it, but I'll leave the picture up so people can see how devious this game is. Really, I stared at that for several minutes and saw nothing.
Also, level 4 was mostly fun (tedious with having to constantly go through that massive damage combo room), but there were a few bugs. One of note is that the image used for the Red Candle in the "items" section of the subscreen (you know, the one after you get the Map) is different than the actual image of the Red Candle. Also, in the room with the Hookshot torches you have to push around to be able to quickly get to the timed switches, if you push a torch to the edge of the Hookshot only area and Hookshot to it, you get stuck and are forced to "Up+A" out of there which makes you go through quite a bit of the dungeon over again to get back to that room. Also, I made the unpleasant discovery that as King Dodongo rolls, he does not get rid of the damage combos that he is behind him. I tried to dodge him by running through the lava, and Link died very quickly by standing where he has rolled... I don't know if that's caused by the limitations of 2.10 or by oversight, but either way, it feels very bad to die while standing on ground that looks safe.
Just finished it. This is really an amazing piece of work. The last part in the ending freaked me out a little. I also found the Level 8 Mini-boss humourus because of his major attack. Indeed, very solid and well done quest, but you already knew that! 😃
I am glad you liked the creepy cliffhanger. :P Thanks for the support, and I am glad you liked my game. :P
AmazingAmpharos, the candle was blue because I didn't have the right colors in the cset. I think I only had one shade of red. lol. About the hookshot, that is something with 2.10. It is the right combos, just a weird bug. Also, about the King Dodongo, I couldn't use any tile warps on that spot because of the fact that I was already using them on at the end the screen. So I wanted his roll to be an instant KO, I know I am evil. But the highest damage was 4. So that is why. Because it was just limitations.
Oh, that's all caused by limitations? Well, I guess that's understandable. However, could you make the middle tiles of the hookshot pit "stair" combos? That way, if players got stuck, they could walk south and warp back to the beginning of the room instead of the dungeon. I don't think that room was using any tile warps; if it was you could probably disregard this idea. If you were already doing this or something like this and it doesn't work, also disregard this.
I just entered dungeon 6, and yeah, the quest just gets better and better. It's kinda interesting how Link and the player are set up to be so mutually clueless as per what's really going on, and I'm especially wondering what's actually in Citadel at this point. Then again, I have a feeling I'll find that all out soon enough.
Okay, I am stumped. How do you solve this puzzle:

russadwan: I can't see your picture for some reason, it is a red x. I am not sure if it is my work blocking it, or if your host is down, but I can't see it. Odd because I can see AmazingAmpharos's screen still....
Wow, that was weird. I'm in Level 8 fighting a spoiler type of guy, and somehow he killed me in the middle of casting Nayru's Love. When I revived, it automatically went off. On that note, said spoiler guy is quite difficult, though so far I'm realy enjoying this dungeon.
The puzzle I am stuck on is two screens right from the entrance of level 6. It involves 4 mirrors, some movable chunks of ice, and four link to the past style switches, one of which is blinking. Please help.
AmazingAmparos: Wait, you're on level 8 and six days ago you were entering level 3. Gosh you play through games fast!
It killed you in the middle of Nayru's Love, O_o. Weird. It looks like you will beat the game very soon, so good luck AmazingAmpharos.
russadwan: You have to melt the white ice block if you haven't already. Then push the mirrors so you can reflect the wand's magic to the correct switchs and it will open the door. Just to let you know, this is probably the hardest puzzle in the game. But as long as you push the mirrors in the correct spots, it should be good. Tell me if you still have trouble, I will have to go back and play the game, as I haven't played it in while, so I don't remember the exact movement of the mirrors.
Well, I was going to try to beat level 6 without obtaining the magical sword, but the splitting darknut is just to difficult. I know that the sword is somewhere on windy peak, but I can't figure out how to cross the gap to get it. How do you?
I heard the hookshot can randomly latch on to any randomly gray object for no randomly apparent reason.
^_^
(I'm feeling random right now.... (goes to work on RZCU))
To get the Magical Sword go to the upper left side of Windy Peak. Talk to a Randy, and he will show you the path to get the Magical Sword.
Yah, just figured it out. It was the bricks that needed to be superbombed that stumpe me for a while. Is there, by chance, a way to get the blue ring at this point of the game? Also, I must be an idiot but I still can't find the mushroom/letter.
Edit: How do you get past the bosses second part, wher the mirrors are blocked by chunks of ice. Do you use the hammer or something?
You can actually get the Blue suit after the 4th level. Go to the Link statue in Autumn Town and play the ocarina to get that. You can get the red suit very soon by the way. The mushroom is east of the potion shop in Treetop village.
And the boss, you will have to reflect the magic with the 4 mirrors to hit him. If there is a white ice block, those can be melted. By the way, you may be missing the lower right mirror.
The statue at Autumn Town? I tried the ocarina and nothing happened. But know I am a a dilima. I can't find the flippers. And by the way, the Scion eye has bad grammer. He said "The Scion Tribe sworn to protect it."
A lot of the enemies in this game have bad grammar. At the very least it does get much better late in the game, and Link himself seems to grow up a little (he's such an annoying idiot early in the game).
Level-8 was... exhausting. I cleared it, but it's so much repetition if you die... I think I need to do something calm and relaxing for a while before thinking about Level-9. I should say that on the boss a few times I had a tragic occurance of being warped back to earlier stages of the fight. I think it was caused by standing still for too long (kinda like with King Dodongo), but it's still disheartening to have that happen. I do kinda wonder about the mechanics of it that would let you travel backward in the fight though.
Never mind about the flippers, I found the hero from Wind Waker. Are there any more magic Link statues?
If you got the flippers that means you got to all of the 3 Link statues.
Okay, I've beaten season isle and I must say this is without a doubt the best Zelda game ever. It even tops Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time. But now I am stuck on level 8. I have gotten past the part where you use the hammer to reveal the spikes (that was just cruel) and am at a shut door with two stwitches on either side of it. How do I open said door? And also, where is that midi used in the royal cave from?
Thanks. Better then OoT or TP, O_o, I am not sure it goes that far, but thanks!
Anyways, yeah, the 8th level is kinda hard, so good luck! The door can be open by pushing a block that is behind the torch and then steping on the other one. Also, I not sure what midi is used. I actually haven't played the game in a long time, and I forgot what I choose... It may have beat Golden Sun, but I am not sure.
Thanks. Better then OoT or TP, O_o, I am not sure it goes that far, but thanks
Oh trust me, it goes that far. But alsass, my computer is having problems now. I was putting in a cd to back up my progress when my computer broke. I can't acess any files, and opening internet explorer is a major undertaking. My last backup of this quest was on level 5, and I had just beaten the spoiler cave miniboss when the computer broke. Oh well, guess I'll just have to do a lot of stuff again😞. But on a side note, you need to go back through the quest and fix a couple of midis that aren't looping correctly.
The quest is beaten. I had 21 hearts, full magic, and 24 bombs. I'm not going to talk about my death count. I was playing in 2.10.2 so at least you have confirmation that it works fairly bug-free in that version, though against the last boss especially I got smacked out of casting Nayru's Love a lot of times (at least none of them were fatal...). The funny thing is that I think the final boss was easier than the boss of dungeon 8, but still, it was a great quest through and through. It will be interesting to see in what direction you take it after this.
I thought the hardest bosses were the one on Season Isle and the one in Hyrule Castle. I do wish that you didn't have to scroll through the boss text every time they destroyed you... :scared: I thought it was kind of cool that I got stuck at some point in perhaps every dungeon. Sometimes my brain almost exploded...
Yah, seoson isle's boss was hard, but I still say the hardest is wolfblin. Not to mention for some reoson he crashed ZC a lot on my computer, as while as turned all music in ZC off for a month. But then again, I haven't reached the boss of Hyrule castle. I think the funniest boss though is the miniboss in the caves under Hyrule Castle.
Edit: Shoelace, how did you make wolfblin shoot out a fire gleok like fire trail? I thought maybe you used a fire gleok and the invisible enemy flag, but gleok moves it's head from side to side, and wolblin's fire stream stays steady.
By the way, the spike traps in Hyrule castle seem much easier that I anticipated from what everyone says. However, they still are harder than anything I've ever seen before (even some of Nintendo's tricks).
That's strange, I found Wolfblin really easy, I just stood there and shot lots of arrows. Took me about 20 tries to beat King D though...
Anyway, I'm stuck in level 5. I've been wondering around for the best part of an hour and I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I beat Veran, and I have two more keys. I have the map and the compas, but I can't find any of the items or the boss key. Or where to go ¬_¬
In the plant floor, you have to go in the top left and fight the spirit of Life. To get the big key. After that, you would go to the bottom of the plant floor and go to the water floor to fight the spirit of knowledge.
How do I get to the top left though? I've spent a while looking around there and I couldn't work out how to do it. Amazing quest though.
EDIT:
ohhhh it was a grey chest ¬_¬
how did you make those chests that were chests AND hookshot grab points? Shouldn't that need two combo types?
And I know it's a little past the bug testing stage, but I managed to walk off the edge of the chapter title screen for chapter 6
Yeah, I heard of that bug. I thought I updated the quest to fix that. Sorry about that. But about the grey chest, it was a hookshot combo, put when you get next to it, there are temp triggers that will turn the treasure chest into a chest. :P
