For ZeldaClassic it is. The OpenLegends Engine was designed specifically for the purpose of moving screens (to describe it better, link is stationary, while the screen itself is moving). It's like comparing, "A Link to the Past", with "Occarina of Time". They are both great games with different features. The same is true with the differences between ZeldaClassic and OpenLegends. However, OpenLegends isn't perfect. There are problems you can run into...like more responsibilities for graphics sprites and the big one animations. In ZeldaClassic you don't have to worry so much about animations except for the obvious ones, slashing, swimming, etc.

Furthermore, if or when ZeldaClassic creates a completely new game editor engine (one that can create Zelda 3 like games), I suspect it would make OpenLegends obsolete. For now, I play OpenLegends for Zelda 3 games, and ZeldaClassic for Zelda 1 type games. I think this conversation would be better in its own thread. I just posted this originally to show the author there is something out there that would benefit him.

DarkDeath, to get into Fort Wolfblin, go to the left, and then up, untill you come to a large statue. Push it from the right and fall in the hole that appears. And wile we'reat it, if you get caught in jail, escape behind the bookcase.

I am at the Hyrule Castle in F2 (second floor), I have 3 key, fire boomerang and master sword. My problem is how can enter in the room where is a fourth key in the left side. I have use a boomerang in first room but in a second I have push a block but nothing is happen. Do you help me? Thanks!

When you use the boomerang on the cartain, it will display numbers over the blocks. If you don't see that make sure transparenacy is on in ZC since that shows you the order.

I finish Lv8, now I presume that need go in Ganon's Tower. I stoped in a bottom left room near room with a key, how can I pass this room? Thank!

I am not sure. And you in the level? The way it was worded I wasn't sure. If you are on the first floor, I believe you have to watch the eyes. If that wasn't it, I may not know where you are. :/ Can you describe it more if not.

In Ganon Island I enter in the Ganon's Tower. In this room I use hookshot but the game return myself in room near a bed. In my inventory write: "don't you hate the2.10 midi bug". What me fail?

Sorry, about that. Posting on the Wii makes my posting limited on what I was trying to say. (2 weeks until I get a computer)

Anyways, you are almost going to beat the game. Yay!

Shoelace don't worry about this! Yes, also chapter 9 and I finish the game but will not be easy, I shall to take pains.
P.S. Don't ask me when I finish the game about the time and death (now I have 128 death and time is 38:04:15)

Don't worry about the number of deaths, that is excepted. I have about a 60 when I play my own game, but that is because I am very careless. Like pressing F1 to run faster, and then I just run into things and die. But in the good side, that made me find a lot of continue bugs so they wouldn't be in the game. :P

I just yesterday downloaded Hero of Dreams from PureZC. I'm LOVING it! It's amazing, truly. I can see why it's considered one of the best games ever for ZC. "Brad Pitt Stars as Link" - priceless!

The one thing I'm not really liking about the first dungeon is the difficulty. Don't get me wrong - I cherish the fact that I've come up against push-block puzzles that I have to contemplate for 5 minutes - it's the fact that I've died 15 times and I just got the Boomerang. I'm sure people have already said something about the difficulty, though, the quest's been out for a while.

Well, overall, although I'm still in the first dungeon, this is the best quest I've ever played. 😊

Thanks, I am glad you like it. But yeah, the game is a little on the difficult side. I learned a lot by the reaction of that, and hopefully I won't make the same mistakes on my future quest, EotM. Though, it will be a bit on the puzzle side. Anyways, good luck on the first level and if you have any questions you know where to ask. :P

I really enjoyed the puzzle with the sand path and the hookshot in the Cerbat Shrine. It reminded me of MM. Is that where you got the idea? It took me several tries to do it fast enough though! ^_^

I personally didn't think the overall quest was too difficult, but some of the bosses irked me due to their difficulty... like the Level 7 and Level 8 bosses.

And yeah, I don't have a computer and have posting things from the for over a month. During that time, mywebsite went down and my pictures including my sig are no more. I have one and a half weeks til I get my new computer so I can fix everything. 😛

Hey there.. first off i am loving hero of dreams despite the fact that im at level 3 and have died like 30 somethin times. This is my first ZC game though so who knows if that takes anything into account. Anywho so i just got to level 3 and it wont let me advance. It still says i have to press the button i have for "a" so in this case z. i hit it over and over yet it wont advance? anybody got a suggestion? Oh and if it matters i am using 2.10 version of Zelda Classic. Anyway the story is decent so far. I hope i learn to use the quest maker like this so i can use the stories i have written and turn them into ZC material...

I know I contacted you on a PM about a fix about that. Let me know if it worked for you too. But yeah, I still can't figure out why that would happen to you. I just can't point out the flaw in the quest that causes that. It is boggling me mind. >_<

Yeah i posted in the thread before pm you. Anyways i said id reinstall ZC... well that screwed up so much stuff that in the end i had to start over with the quest. Zelda Classic isnt letting me play my music in the background while i play anymore... 😞 ohwell... i'll let you know when i get back to level 3 and if i get past that point..

I'm having trouble in the battle with the commander in level 8. I made it up to the point when I could finally damage him with my sword, but I ended up dieing. When I go back to fight him I can only get as far as the stage with the 3 blue and 2 green wizzrobes after killing the 2 red and 1 white wizzrobes. I can activate the switch on the right with no problem but when I try to activate the left one nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong and not realizing it or what? I did it before so I don't understand why I can't do it again.

EDIT: Nevermind I found a way around it.

Question though... Where's the second key in Level 3? I got the one where you bomb a wall then it's in a chest, and south of the room it's in is an exit leading to an HCP. Help please?

What do I do after getting the key from the chick who wants to marry you after level 3? I went to windy peak but couldn't find anything special...

Okay, if you are in Havasu Canyon, you need to go to the Thieves Hideout. To get there, you will need 2 keys. One is held by Donmore. He is in the house on the mideast side. Once you get the key, Two screens up from the entrance of the Canyon is a key hole. Use it there to get to the Thieves Hideout. If you have any other troubles let me know.

Ok, I'm in Cerbat Shrine now, and I just killed a little dodongo. In the room to the north, theres a Triforce stone that says to be aware of cracks in the room im in... Amn I blind, or are these cracks hidden?

EDIT: Nevermind, but I need your help for something else. I just passed a timed button pressing puzzle in a room south of the one with an aquamentus dragon... I need a key for the room north of the dragon room. I already got the key from Digdogger... Help?

EDIT 2: Level 4 Complete! I'm going to hang out with ym friend for a while, so I'll probably be back soon.

Great quest so far, I love the humor! I can't wait for EotM...

Speaking of which, hwhen is EotM coming? Anytime soon?
