Yeah, glad to hear he's Ok. We only seem to hear about bad stuff lately.

Oh come on, it's been a day! Has no-one read my new South Park rip-off, or do you just not like it? For the love of god people, at least go and acknowledge that you've read it! You vicious bastards! Do you know how much blood, sweat and tears I poured into doing that? DO YOU? And you think you can just ignore it? Ignore all that I've done, everything I've worked for? No! No, I'm not sodding having that! It's not on! Go and read the f**ker and reply to it, damn you! GO AND F**KING READ IT!

Curl up in a corner and start sucking thumb

*sulkily*
I've read it. Geez, no reason to get all angry.

*brightens up*
Nice story by the way. I never actually watched that episode all the way through, so I can't tell where you were copying it exactly and where you changed it.

Well, I just got confimation of my buddy's situation. He's gonna be perfectly fine, given a couple of days.

From what I heard from his sister (she witnessed the accident), he got thrown up about 6 feet into the air, landed headfirst on the windshield...and only got a concussion and bruises.

I gotta ask him what the hell his body is made of, cause that's just insane.

😊 thanks for the supporting words guys. And perhaps this will be a good conversttion starter at parties. My friend tends to break a lot of stuff due to his physical strength, and now, he finally hit something that didn't break.

And yes, we do only seem to get bad news these days... Wonder why.

I had a doctor's appointment/follow up to make sure everything was going well with my chest. I sat in the radiology department for over an hour because someone fucked up my chart. They had to call up to my doctor's office and ask them what exactly I was getting again. I was waiting for my nurse to come down and go postal on everyone.

Everything is good except for the pinched nerve. I freaked him out a little bit when he asked what classes I was taking this quarter. I said emt-b and vertical rescue. He wasn't overly thrilled with the vertical rescue but I can do it.

Time to eat some food because I'm cooler than all of you.

So I met this girl who worked at starbucks, and I worked up the courage to ask her on a date after a couple of conversations at the register. She was a month older than me but I didn't really care, she was fun to be around. So we took a walk along the beach, and we kissed in the pale moonlight, a full moon, it was really romantic. We started really getting into it, and she slowly unzipped my jeans, she reaches inside and starts kissing her way down my chest, she finally gets all the way down, looks up at me with the most seductive eyes I've ever seen and says "No thanks, I had Reese's for breakfast" and I'm like "No way, you had candy for breakfast?" She replies, "Not candy! Reese's puffs cereal!" So she sliiiiides me a bowl. I crunch into it and WHAM! My mouth goes crazy! That smooth combo of peanut butter and chocolate-y taste attacking my taste buds! She zips my pants back up and says "And it's part of this complete breakfast!"

Oh, that reminds me of something that happened a while back. It must have been the other day, and I was walking down the street when say this guy fighting a man in a giant chicken costume. Man, they were going at it like crazy. Punching each other left, right and center and not even caring who else they hurt in their constant battle. So they ran into this building, right, and from what I can tell they fought all the way up to the roof, where they just fell off and landed, of all things, on a blimp, which then went nuts due to the extra weight and careened into another building, causing it to explode in a blaze of heat. I ran over to see if there was anything I could do to help any survivors, and incredibly these two just got up and kept whacking the tar out of each other like nothing had happened! I mean, there had to be hundreds of people in that building and they didn't even care! The only thing that matters to them is who wins that fight. Like I cared. I kept helping the survivors. There were a couple, but I'm sad to say that most of them must have died almost instantly. I hope when those guys are done with their fighting they stop and realize the consequences of their actions.

Let me get this straight, you actually go to Starbucks? :shakeno:

Let me get this straight, you actually go to Starbucks?

Why not?

So I served on a jury last week. It was pretty interesting and my county pays pretty well. Can't say I want to do it again anytime soon, though.

What kind of case did you sit on?

I had to report last August but I was sent home by 11. I didn't get paid even though I should have.

I don't suppose anyone else noticed that *someone* is revamping the star System? People who had three pips and were staff previously now have five, or something to that effect. (Haven't checked everyone; just got back from somewhere.)

I think those with 10,000+ posts are supposed to actually have four pips. I also remember there being one of those "Oh well, we'll deal with it when we get there" sort of arguments when they realized that Hosted Quest Forum Moderators also get four pips. 😛 Only theirs were probably gold too.

Oh good god, the gold pips... I remember those...

EDIT: Of course, a quick look at the online list will show a certain new Administrator fiddling around in the ACP.

GG Sir. GG. - -, We thank you. Far too much. BTW, if you'd like, I can make new star pips for you. 😛 It's what I do.

I found a big ass snakeskin hanging from the ceiling in my basement.

What did you do with it? 😛

Hm. By the old methods, I should actually have four of either User posted image or User posted image stars. Eh. *Likes to hoard pointy things*

It's still hanging there. I only discovered it a few hours ago and haven't gotten around to getting it down. I wonder where the snake is though.

That's a very disturbing mental picture, and I'll thank you never to say anything ever again.

Recommend some genuinely funny American TV shows! I've just caught Slacker Cats and loved it, and I want more stuff like it.

That IS a funny show. It's nice when shows I like actually come back in the fall.

I have been catching reruns of Two and a Half Men and they are pretty funny too.

EDIT: 800th post in this thread! Let's keep it up! 😊

Two and a Half Men isn't funny to me, it's the sort of 'meh' show I try to avoid because I very rarely laugh out loud.

How I Met Your Mother I've never watched. I'll try and give it a go.

Scrubs owns. Must get the DVDs at some point.

Any animated shows (besides Aqua Teen Hunger Force, or whatever it's called)?

Robot Chicken.

The Columbus police department. One of the single biggest departments in Ohio has been doing commercials late at night and during the day about taking applications to take a written exam. At the end of the commercial they say something along the lines of "the Columbus police department is currently looking for women and minorities."

I find it kind of funny because for years it's been the issue of women have it harder when trying to get into jobs that males dominate most of the time. The Columbus division of fire caught a lot of guff for it so they actually changed the testing methods and exams for women. The women pass and come into the stations only to leave for a desk job X number of years later.

If a woman can carry a line of fire hose or drag someone out of a burning building then she has my respect. If she can't even hold the hose or open the hydrant she has no place in the line of work. The same goes for the police. If you can't run and take down the criminal you don't belong there.

Well, obviously Robot Chicken. Their Star Wars special would have been funnier if I hadn't seen half the stuff in it from the regular show.

If a woman is capable of doing the job, then I have absolutely no problem with them actually doing that job. I'd feel the same way about a guy doing the job - if they can do it, then fine. To be honest, that's what it should be for everyone.

I don't agree with changing how the physical exam is given just so a woman has a better chance of passing. The fat ass that passed out in his chair isn't gonna suddenly drop 80lbs so a woman can pick him up. I'm all for women in jobs and some of the firefighters my cousin works with are pretty damn cute. Too bad they all have kids.

(EDIT: For Biggiy's Post)I don't think that he said that though. If you get a tough woman and she is better than the man that she is running against, then why wouldn't you pick the woman?

You know what really sucks? When you get the shaft at work and have to bust your ass to pick up the slack because everyone else screwed all day.

Yeah work today was a bitch and I'm gonna have a word with my manager tomorrow.

Ok, it is now official.

I hate my career planning class with a burning passion.

On wednesday, we have to call up 30 companies that we've looked up, and request an informational interview with them. I have only about 10 of the companies so far, and I have absolutely no information about 5 of them. We also have to actually go to the interview, and we have to make sure we cna go withou missing any of our classes. Our schedules have very little free space. And I really dont like my teacher. I don't like her methods.

It might not seem bad typed out like that, but I feel like I'm at the end of semester from hell already, and it's only week 4.

I hate my whole stupid semester. The only classes I find bearable are Flash: Actionscript, and Stress Management (for obvious reasons).
