So...

I just got a text from my girlfriend. Her and Natalie had a tire blow out on their car and rolled it. She's fine but I about fell over when I got the message.

...wait. Aegix, you mean you have to get interviews with 30 different companies? What are the odds of there being that many companies in your field in the county let alone the city. Wow, man. You have my sympathy.

(What's your major again? Graphics or somesuch?)

If I had to actually get a total of 30 interviews, I'd drop the course right now, and screw my future. I merely have to request an interview from a total of 30 companies. But yes, it's hard finding companies in my general area that have good information, and are acessible. Stil not having luck finding the darn places, and I got to do the phone thing tomorrow morning.

BTW, my major is in Graphic design. A whopping 8 course per semester. 😞

@ biggiy: 😮dd: They ROLLED the car? Good luna, I hope they're both alright. I can only imagine how scary that must be.

(doble post. Man, I'm such a bad person. XD)

I GOT THE FREAKING INFORMATIONAL INTERVIEW!

After calling about 40 companies, and getting only "no" "We're busy" "I work at home" and "please press 1 for service in english" I finally got a freaking interview next wednesday at 9:30 Am with a guy with my name. (😮dd😊

It was not fun getting there, I tell you. The people who were panicking like crazy got their interviews on the first or second try, and there I am, crossing off all the names on my list. Heck, I actually had to borrow a friend's list because I ran out of names.

So, yeah, I'm gonna go spend my lunch break in the Gaming club. AndI'll treat myself to some skittles (at $1.40 a bag 😞 ). mmm...skittles.

*walks off in a daze*

If it's bigger than the regular bag then I would pay more.

I haven't had tropical or sour skittles in a while, now I'm getting hungry, I'm gonna go get lunch.

So. I thought up of this curious hypothesis today. Imagine this is happening at this moment:

After centuries of tranquility and cooperation between Great Britain and the United States, anger over the American Revolution has been building up within Britain's government to the point that they invade America massively. What would happen as an immediate effect?

First day of classes was tonight. Lecture is going to suck for the first few weeks and my instructors told us that too. It won't be so bad because one is a full time firefighter and has some funny stories about runs.

Downside is I'm gonna have to drop my vertical rescue class because I can't balance my emt-b, hospital clinical days and work. There is too much studying and reading for me to try and do everything. That and this is someone's life in my hands.

The dishwasher is running and I wanna eat some food but I need a pot. Damn you dishwasher!

I live in the country, nearest fast food join is Wendy's and it's a drive. I gave up fast food back in the spring anyways and honestly I don't miss it.

I bet you could hop in a firetruck and turn the sirens on to go get your burger. It'd be good practice. You can pretend you are speeding to the scene to be just in time to perform a vertical rescue of someone jumping off the top of the burger king. You probably wouldn't get in trouble. Most of the other people on the road would probably just think you were going to save someone, and you might get a salute from a redneck or two in the process.

A salute from a redneck? It's funny how little you know about people and how much you assume.

I like reading but reading the stuff at the beginning of this book is boring. I skimmed through the first section and did the first page of my homework. Getting near perfect scores on my homework won't be a problem. The quizzes will be but it only counts for 7.5% of my overall grade.

Glenn just thinks he knows everything about everyone, especially me.

So I donated 2 packets of platelets today, but they gave me the paper like I donated whole blood. Is that normal or did they take whole blood too? This is with the Red Cross so does anyone know?

I don't know how they are going to put a needle in your arm and just take nothing but platelets. They'd have to get the whole blood, and then filter out the platelets.

It's an aphreresis machine, so they put the blood minus the platelets back into the blood stream, but I think that they might have taken whole blood too.

Yuck. I could never give blood. I stayed away from every blood drive in High School.

>_< I don't like needles. Especially big one that stay in you for a period longer than 3 seconds. No blood donating for me.

Oh gosh...I hate IV's...And they hate me. I went to the hospital last year, and Stayed the night. They had to stick the freaking IV into my arm THREE FREAKING TIMES. The nurse actually asked me if my skin was made of leather.

...haha...I remember when I was about 10...I was supposed to get a shot from the doctor, and I actually tried to fight him off. I ended up on the floor, and he stuck in the needle, and it didn't hurt me a bit, for some weird reason. Since then, I've been a bit better around needles. In fact, th eonly reason they ever scared me in the first place was when I got a city-sponsored shot for... I forget what, and the nurse did a very bad job with it. >_<

You really should give blood. If you're scared of giving blood imagine the people who need the blood who have tubes running all throughout their body, and you can't take a little prick in your arm? Sure, I don't like it either, but I go anyway. Then again, I'm not scared of blood, I'm totally fine when I bleed after they stick the needle in. They think that I'm gonna faint, but I think it's pretty interesting. You guys should give at least once, it gives you such a good feeling once you're done and you know that you're saving lives.

I should organize a blood drive for the forum.

I'm an apheresis donor as well. 😊 They take platelets and plasma. If I remember right the plasma is also considered a whole blood donation.

I used to work for the Red Cross. 😊

I gave blood in 2002 for my surgery in case they needed to use any. I'm not sure if they did or not but if they didn't I know it went to the hospitals blood bank.

Once I'm done with this course of medicine and it's been 30 days since my last dose I can donate blood again. I plan on doing it on a regular basis.

So then I didn't give red and white blood cells?

Sorry deathbyhokie, I have A+ type blood.

I'm not afraid of blood. What I'm afraid of is that cold, dizzy, and drained feeling I get when I lose blood.

To be perfectly honest, I'm just not willing to do it, even if it saves a life.
