bah, too many bugs in this game, I used the toruch in the storm tower boss room and the ice did not melt. Is there only a specific area you can melt?
also if you contiune the game from this fight/room you are placed off of the map and are thus stuck and have to restart from the begining in the forest.

when you enter the room torch to the right at the bottom, that should melt the ice. For the bugs, can't help u on that 1
I'm in the hotel right now, and can't figure out how to get past the bug with diving two screens to the left of the first woman. Whenever I dive there, I get thrown into a square in the sewers where I can't move. After continuing, I am put into the screen with 4 keese. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.
ronblaze wrote:Yeah I got Past That Room and all i get to is a room with 4 colored tiles and the room after that has a warp in it that takes you back to the beginning. I also tried bombing in the room with the colored tiles with no luck. So i'm pretty much stuck.
You should step on the coloured tiles in a specific order. The clue is somewhere in Enigma. It has been a while since i played enigma last time so you have to find the clue for yourself.
OK I figured out how to work around the hotel bug and beat enigma castle. Now I'm in Subrosia, and there is the nasty can't-move-right bug. I can get to the Temple of Heroes, but that's all. Is there anything vital in Subrosia which I can't get because of this?

If you have the book and black belt, you need to fire a blast in the direction of the torch and hope that one of the bats flies in front of your beam where the flame would make contact with the torch.
Has anybody beaten Coma and Insomnia in the Volcano? I can't figure out how to even damage them. I have the Gold mail, and found the red mail in the dungeon. I'm not supposed to have the mirror shield, am I? I found the hint that you are supposed to use their mirror against them, but I have no clue what is meant by this. Thanks.

I have nither.
Am I suppose to get this red cape the frog is talking about in the sewer? where is it located in the dungeon, I just can't find the route to take after taking the second ball switch.

you Have To Get Through Hotel, Get Through Seadog's challenge (for the blackbelt) and get the item from enigma castle (the book) so you'll be able to light the torch that stands in the middle of the water in the sewer.

sounds like I am trying to defeat a dungeon I should not be in at the moment. After the storm tower should I be attacking the evil forest instead? It seems that I am little weak for it though.
Yes, I believe the devouring forest is the next stop after storm tower. IIRC, you need the ladder to complete Enigma castle.

I tourched the two ice blocks beside that block that shots magic at you at the far bottom right of the screen, no ice melted.
The boots that you get later in the game, can you use them to jump over objects that are shot at you? if so then I should leave this boss until I got those since this no ice melting nonsense is playing mind games with me.
In B-2 of the excavation there are red ghosts with yellow capes that fire magic at you (4th room from the left on the top row of the map) and I don't have anything that seems to kill them. I tried super bombs, bombs, silver arrows, belt magic, axe with no luck in harming them. I'm assuming I need a more advanced weapon futher on to defeat them? I'm also assuming the red boomerang is past this room.
bigboylink wrote:I just completed Enigma, and I never figured out what that room was for. I guess I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't have the item yet, you've still got a lot to do. Have you made it past the room where the spiked walls close in on you? That's the direction you want to follow.
In the room after that don't you need the blackbelt + book to light the torch? or are you suppose to pull a luck shot by using the lantern and quickly hookshot onto the block in front of the left door before it vanishes?

There's a mirror in the boss room, no?

Edit: I got the second ball switch and it removes two blocks on the left side of the map, but when I walk up to the next room above that new area there are two more blocks blocking my way and there is a toruch in the middle of the water which I cannot reach with my lantern, what do I do here or do I go elsewhere?
There are three items in Zelda that make fire. Blue Candle, Red Candle, and....

Thanks C-dawg, I had been trying to step in front of the mirror, but hadn't stepped on the right square at the right time I guess.
Two new questions:
1. How do you get to the southwest corner of Mirrors, F1? There appears to be a hint to use bombs in the "maze", but I am unsure as to what this is referring to. In the "maze" just to the right of the southwest 2 screens, I have tried bombing nearly every square.
2. How do you beat the boss in Vines?
Thanks in advance.
1. Bomb a wall on the southwest side of where you can get to. It's not marked and rather hard to find.
2. I beleive you just have to nail each of his spore-shooting growths several times.
Thanks again, C-Dawg. I cleared Vines, Mirrors, the Elven Cave, and Marathon. I am now in the Hall of Statues. I found the clue to get throught the maze at the beginning, and I've found a couple keys and the map. However, I can't figure out how to remove the barrier in front of the stairs from B1 to F1. I found the bombable wall to the right of this room, but that doesn't seem to be of any help. I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks.

Can anyone plz assist, when ever I try this luck shot if you will I get knocked back by the flame and fall in the pit.
What is the proper way to pass with room?
Athanato,
To get past the room after the room with the spikes:
1. Stand 1.5 squares below the torch. By this, I mean to stand on the line between the square below the torch and the square two squares below the torch. Face up.
2. Fire the lantern.
3. Pause the game, and select the hookshot.
4. Move up half a square and face left. You may have to wait just a small fraction of a second before doing this to avoid getting hit by your flame, but not long at all. Face left.
5. Fire the hookshot. The hookshot should connect to the block in front of the door before it disappears.
Hope this helps.
In enigma, how do you know what blocks to walk over (the ones with the symbols)?
Can somebody please help me with my post on the hall of statues? I just need to know how to remove the barrier in front of the stairs. Thanks.
Edit: I finally figured out how to get through here. If anyone else is stuck, I would suggest using the axe in the room once south of the first non-maze room in the hall of statues.
kopitiambread wrote:Where is the fire boomerang?I'm kinda stuck in the excavation... I can't seem to proceed any further after coming from a room full of knights and the hopping bats with a pushable block that will lead to a room of Wizzrobes
I've tried to figure out how to locate this item myself (i.e. which room and how to get to it), any assistance would be great.
thnx
Path to the fire boomerang, starting from the entrance to excavation:
1. Go up two screens.
2. Walk through the left wall.
3. Kill all monsters and take the portal.
4. Kill all monsters and go left.
5. Go down.
6. Go all the way left. Here is the fire boomerang.
At some point you will be forced to kill some mirrorobes. However, if you kill all the other monsters in the room and then return to it after dying or continuing, the mirrorobes will be replaced by other monsters which can be killed without the mirror shield. FYI, the gold armor is directly above the entrance to the 3rd basement. The only equipment you need to get there is a bunch of relic stones.

thnx,
guess i need to find that relic stone in enigma, I hate that castle.....
The old man at the B-3 stairs, is that the only relic elder I need to worry about to get the fire boomerang and gold armor, or do I need to get more relics?

Thats the only one you need for the fire boomerang. I think you need 3 more for gold armor. There's an additional relic stone hidden in the predator forest (use the lens to find the entrance), and one hidden in the town by enigma castle (walk into a window).
The enigma relic is close to the enigma boss key.
Are there any boots in this quest? I have found every item in the game besides them (just got the master key in the deku tree). Have I missed them, or are they still to come? Thanks.
