DOY revised: bug in dream village?

Honestly, I've forgotten the solution to the desert maze. I've also forgotten where the hint is. Whoops!

I stopped playing this quest because of all the bugs and the daku lvl at the end is brutal.

For the desert maze try right, then keep going up until you get to the village. (There is more then meets the eye in this village. :bomb: )

For the dungeon try left, left, down.

I never did find any hints though.

I have a problem...I'm in the train station...i go up, kill all the enemies, up again, kill all the enemises and bomb the bombable tile on the SE corner, but...under that tile there's another green tile that doesn't move and no door has opened...
I have to bomb it with superbomb? or is a bug?...

I remember having this problem. You should only need a normal bomb. Which version of ZC are you using for this quest? I had this problem when using version 1.92 (beta 183), but when I restarted the quest using beta 152, this did not happen (a lot of other bugs cleared up as well, like being able to sidescroll caves to the right). I think I ended up restarting this quest twice over the course of a year before finally finishing it. It sounds discouraging, but you owe it to yourself to experience everything the quest has to offer.

EDIT: I just checked the downloads section of zeldaclassic.com, and the 152 player is not available. What's up with that?

Darnit, that bug is fixed. I know it. You sure you using the revised DOY file linked to in this post?

Also note that I'm delaying any future updates until 2.11 is done. The continue bugs should disappear completely once I'm done with it 😉

i need some help in enigma,

i cant understand any of the number puzzles which appear in this dungeon

first the numbers on the doors and numbers on walls, what does it mean?

and especially the one on floor 2 where theres a 3 and 2 on the top wall and all these roman numerals on the floor, i found a room that gave roman numerals for 21 and 43 but i cant really seem to put a pattern together,,,

Enigma is one of the coolest dungeons in DOY, but I never really figured out what the pattern was with the numbers in front of the doors. I honestly just got pretty lucky picking the right ones. I know there's a hint about knowing how to do prime factorizations, but I never exactly meshed that idea with picking the correct numbered doors. My point is that I would also appreciate some clarification on how this particular aspect of the dungeon is solved (cough, C-Dawg or Jman).

I can answer your second question. In the rooms with roman numerals on the floor, there is a pattern between successive roman numerals. This pattern has something to do with the ordinary numbers on the wall. The pattern is the same for all 3 rooms.

Edit: 100 posts, cool - it only took me a year or so 😊

well i figured out the prime factors puzzles

but it may not be necessary for me to post it here for future players it may spoil the puzzle

i still cant figure out the 32 puzzle, i guessed my way through most of it, i found some sort of pattern to the most of the numbers but the last 2 of that room

does anybody know how to get the key in the room next to the entrance of enigma? its the one surrounded by blocks

I need the link to the latest fixes of this quest and the version to run it with.

It's been about since this quest was released that I finished it and I think after several years I NEED to experience this quest again.

Thanks. 😉

in the hall of statues, theres a staircase in b-1 that im trying to get to but there are some statue blocks blocking the way, the lens says they can be removed, but ive tried all my tools and none have worked, how do u reach the staircase??

If those statues haven't been removed yet, then you haven't explored the entire floor. There are some really difficult rooms in the southern part of the level - you should try clearing some of them first.

I haven't touched this quest in ages and thus I have forgoten the maze path for the Hall Of Statues and I lost the paper I wrote it down on. I recalled only part of it last night, could someone please assist me?

Also is there some form of guide for the Deku Tree, last time I played I was walking around in a loop.

Can no one assist with the maze solution? I am unable to get back to the Deku Tree without it.

I certainly don't remember the exact sequence of directions, but there's a Tokay cave in the northeast part of the jungle where someone will tell you the maze path.

Is there a Boss Key in the final dungeon? I've come to a boss door in the Deku Tree but I never found any boss key.

Damn, you didn't waste any time plowing through that dungeon. There is indeed a boss key for the dungeon. What nightmare bosses have you not fought yet? Look closely in rooms near the second entrance.

I got fed up with Deku Tree a year ago 😊
I have fought two nightmare bosses by wrapping in water warps to get to them.
As for this second entrance, is it just an entrance room or can you actually enter the Tree from this room? (from the outside of course *just courious*)

Re: Dreams of Yesterday Help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buy the level 2 sword? So then I must have missed the wallet upgrade somewhere? Where do I get that as I'm now fiddling around crystal valley and desert town and still don't have it. (btw found the lv2 sword somewhere else for free)

Northwesternmost house in Pulcheria...bring a bow. The wallet's there.

I remember playing the original version about a year & a half ago...quit at the train station's game-stipping bug. I had died about 120 times by the time I got there. I'm in the same dungeon now with 18 deaths.

Now to the point. I can't find the hookshot. I can move the train, and talked to the guy who mentioned the ghosts, but that trick only opened up one door and guess what you need to get through the room past it? Ugh, any help with finding the hookshot?

EDIT: Tried to get through the Gallery for kicks, but I can't find out how to go on in the room with Error's wife saying something about her blood, even when I trigger the secret in that room.

Hey guys,
In Clockwork Volcano I have the boss key and relic and everything, but I cant seem to find the boss door... sounds a bit strange but that's the case. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: It turns out I was simply overlooking a door, wow found and killed the boss.

I still cannot however find the Storm Tower Boss key in Blester, I think I looked everywhere but havent found anything, any help is great thanks.

BUGS TIME!!!

In this cave the fairy doesn't do anything, and the bomb wall on the left blows up but won't let you walk in.

You actually can't get this heart container, the chest opens to reveal it but you just cant touch it... weird.

Coming from that previous room leads here but you have to restart because killing all the enemies lets you pass but they always spawn in unreachable spots.

Minor bugs but bugs all the same
