God... Damn SAT. I never got those analogy sections - not that I did poorly on them, but as far as I could tell, they were basically a measure of your ability to read the test creator's mind. I mean, I guess they were supposed to measure comprehension or something like that, but come on, there were always at least two different ways you could read the question.
So...

Well, today in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! I just got 40 points in Mirror Special Cup and I dodged a blue shell. It's been a good day so far.

People also told me 12 was too young to start High School Algebra, but that didn't stop me.

Wow. Congrats. But how do you dodge a blue shell? And continuing with the Mario Kart subject, my friend got it for the Wii! And you can use your miis as race characters! It's awesome!
A quick Mario Kart: Double Dash!! lesson.
How to dodge a red shell: This is very easy. When you hear the red shell coming, immediately go into a power slide. Quickly go into blue sparks, and when the red shell is on the screen but has not hit you, release the mini-turbo. Turning slightly also helps.
How to dodge a blue shell: This is very hard. Again, when you see or hear that a blue shell is coming, go into a power slide and get blue sparks. The nature of the blue shell is much different (considering it flies) than the red shell. It'll appear on the screen much longer than the red shell; that is, it'll dip back and ram into at full speed. You have to turn sharply and release your mini-turbo when it is no more than a few inches from hitting you. This all happens very quickly, which makes it very difficult to do. I've dodged only 4 or 5 in my Double Dash!! career. [Here] is a good YouTube video about blue shells. Note that a lot of blue shell dodging involves luck. 😉
Different issues I guess. One involves you being smarter than your peers and doing more advanced work so you aren't bored, the other is an exhausting stupid 3 hour test.
Today has been an excellent Mario Kart: Double Dash!! day. I managed to get 160 points in Mirror Mode All Cup Tour, dodging an incredible 3 blue shells along the way. I am happy. 😊
Now it's time to improve my time trials with the rest of the world.

Like Amaster said, it's not the same thing. One is learning something useful, the other is wasting time stressing over a test you won't take for several years. One that I never spent any time studying for and performed quite well on. I would fully encourage you to keep on studying algebra, or whatever topics that may be considered too advanced for you. Prepping for the SAT is something I think is usually a waste of time, especially this early on.

Noted, although I doubt my mom will listen to me.

Yesterday was a good Mario Kart day for me. I got Mario Kart Wii! And I already unlocked an option that lets you use miis as racers! Mario Kart Wii is awesome! Although doging blue shells is impossible, because rather than fly above you and slam down, they just come out of nowhere and explode by your tail pipe.
w00t!!!
I got a 33 on my ACT
*dances*
Eh, math killed me. I just managed a 31, too many things I had never heard of.
What's the max score for the ACT?
The max score you can get is a 36,
Most people average between 20 and 28, so I'm pretty happy.
(I think I've had the first post on each page like three times in a row now)
36 I believe. I did horrible on both my SATs and ACTs, but I'm still going to a great college and making more money than all my friends. *shrugs* Don't put too much pressure on yourselves over these stupid tests.
Oh yeah, I wasn't really worried, but I'm still happy I did this well.
(and I checked. It's four pages)
I did better on my SAT's than the valedictorian at my high school, so that was fun. I really wish I had tried harder though and done the retake, because I was extremely sick when I took them. I think I could have gotten a near perfect. I didn't retake it though because the test is miserably boring and my score was good enough to go to the college I wanted.

People like us (if I may say that) tend to do things like that. 😉
Okay, I couldn't help but notice the reputation descriptions (the text that appears when you mouse over the green/red gems) and here are some of the common ones
User is on a distinguished road
User has a spectacular aura about
User has a little shameless behaviour in the past (behavioUr? Seriously?)
User is an unknown quantity at this point
Does anyone know what all these things even mean? Or where Jelsoft gets these blurbs anyway? Like, some MMORPG designer from Canada?
I dunno, I think they just are.
Anyway, I'm a splendid one to behold *preens*
Max is 36. When I took it, I got a 32 and was in the 99th percentile. How was it for you Amaster?
33 and 99th as well. These last few years I'd been slipping down to 98 and 97, but I think I'm back.
Haha, well just wait until you get to college, then you're not compared to everyone in the world where you can really do well. Everything goes down fast after that.
I have "much to be proud of." 😃
I told you that the math was ridiculously hard (comparatively -- the previous ACT's math was a bit easier). I'll be taking the SAT and ACT for the final time in June, so we'll just see how I can do.

Wow, congrats!

Well, I'm just really nice. Now all of you shut up. :whap: Sorry, I couldn't help but do that. 😃
I took the SAT once in my junior year and got a 1550 including an 800 in math. If that score seems kind of low to you, it's because it was out of a possible 1600 since it was before they added the essay section to the SAT. I'm glad I managed to miss that hoop.
Yes, the essay section is a joke and does nothing but tire you out for the rest of the exam. It's more a trial of endurance than anything else.
Wow, I just relized I forgot to check who was who during the April Fool's event. I must say, I was completly surprised to see Glenn's name in that thread (and at first I though it was still anther prank). I was more surprised when he knew all about Pineconn dollars and the like. Question: Why did he get banned yet again? I actually wish the mods would let him stay.

...OBJECTIO-*is whapped.*
...well, I have much to be proud of, it seems...
...but I honestly don't think I've contributed that much to this place. So I guess I must be proud of all the hours I sunk into this crazy place 😃
Just be proud that you, um, didn't get banned on April Fool's day. Be prund that you missed out on joining Le Resitance.
Damn, it's been a long time. There's now an essay section on the SAT? Bah... Essay sections to me have always been a joke, in my experience. I mean, you figure out what the graders want, and you give it to 'em. Doesn't require any thinking skills whatsoever. They're only really good for giving you a hand cramp.
Damn women.
