Ah, so it's not atheism. Now I get it.
Bah... If there was a God, misogyny wouldn't be necessary. He'd put women in their place so we wouldn't have to.

haha!
Actually, I've always thought that's kind of a funny phenomenon. People complain that I start too many religious arguments and that they are sick of my crap. And yet, I have tons of rep and a large chunk of it comes from my atheist rants.

So I got $100 tonight at a gathering for my bowling league tonight. Doing well in the last 2 weeks will get you a ton of dough. I also got pretty smashed thanks to my brother's supply of alkehol.

This is true of the Flying Spaghetti Monster as well, and I hope you walk in his Pastafarian Light all the rest of your days. May you receive his noodly blessings, despite your lack of faith in Him.
Thank you Flying Spaghetti Monster! Never again will I underestimate your unnecessary blending of spaghetti and flying. You have brought more to the world than anyone else has ever brought. Thank you for your saucy goodness.

russadwan wrote:Beldaran, have you even noticed that while you are constantly insulting my beliefs, never once have I made fun of you for your lack of beliefs?
That's because making fun of someone for being skeptical makes you look like an idiot, while making fun of a person who believes his best friend is an invisible magic carpenter from another dimension is hilarious.
Is this a prelude to the end of So..., or is this just a microcosm of how the internet is?
...damn.
So apparently I owe 8 dollars in library fines because they didn't send out a notice until stuff was already 20 days overdue.
In the old days it took less than three days for a letter to get mailed to you, but now...
And hell, they even have most emails on their accounts. It would be really easy to set up a program that automaticaly sends out warnings when books are due.
*sigh*
We keep a rather extensive notebook featuring multicolored text to keep track of what books we have out, when they're due, etc. Makes things a lot easier to keep track of. Keep all books in the same place, have a "Library bag," and keep all books in the same place when not being read. We haven't had an overdue book in forever, with the casual exception for when my sister takes a book into her room and "forgets" where she puts it, and we find it under her bed weeks later.

Sometimes, I am amazed you haven't been perma-banned for blatent disresepect for other people's beliefs.Eh. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs and opinions. Some people ridicule others for not believing in the true faith, or going on the correct path of life, whereas others ridicule others for forcing them to go with theirs.
BTW happy 2000th post.
and sends us a message as soon as we have one overdue. It's an electronic message, right? E-mail?
Well, it all went downhill back in 2000 when they stopped stamping the due date on the front of the book and turned to these new "receipt" things. It's basicly a grocery receipt that has everything you checked out and everything you have currently out...and I always always lose them.
That's still no excuse to be twenty days late on a notice though. My family stopped being "Friends of the Library" because we were basicly paying our membership fees in fines, and we got fed up.
Ah, my terrible weak is nearly done. I took a midterm last night and just got out of another one. Both were pretty awful, 10+ pages of writing, but I think I did really well on one (A-?) and aced the other.
Now I just have to write my 15 page paper, my 6 page paper, do my problem set, and start grading these 250 exams... 😮

Hey...I had spaghetti for dinner last night! 😮 Does this mean I'll spend eternity in a pasta pot, being cooked forever?!? :P
anywaaaaaaaaay...
:P I used to be a total library nut. Not so much anymore, though. My mom keeps track of most of the books, and knows when to return them. :P At my library, we get...I forget if it was 2 or 3 weeks... well, I'm done in a few days, usually, so I'd normally lose track. But since I'm not the one keeping track...I just drop the books in the pile of other library books, and they get returned either way.
...hmmm...maybe I shoudl go check out the library again sometime...*old bookworm feeling picks up again...XD*

If pointing out exactly what you believe makes your beliefs sound stupid, then maybe you need to think carefully about what you believe.
Wow, I never knew people used the library so much. I went on Tuesday and that was the first time that I got a book in like 3 years.
Beliefs in general are absurd. I don't care what you believe - to believe in anything is just ridiculous. I mean, you can't know that gravity will still work tomorrow - so how is it that anyone can believe in anything less concrete than gravity? And yet, despite the fact that we can't know that gravity will work tomorrow, people claim that they know that God exists. How can you be more sure of the existence of an unseen deity than you are about gravity? It's mind-boggling, really.
In closing, I just want to say that I think Socrates said it best - "The only thing that I know is that I know nothing."
Beldaran wrote:If pointing out exactly what you believe makes your beliefs sound stupid, then maybe you need to think carefully about what you believe.
Well, any belief would sound dumb to you Bel, seeing as how you believe that all other beliefs are stupid. 🙄
I think that makes your point moot, since if you try to NOT sound stupid to everyone, you'll just make yourself look even worse. :P You can't please/impress everyone, ya know. There's bound to be at least one person who thinks you're an idiot, no matter what you think.
Hey, this is weird. The other day, I hit 2,000 post. Now, my post count went down. What happened?
Some of your posts must have been axed. Either that or someone is trying to mess with your head.
Hey, I think mine did as well. I'm pretty sure I was at 2550ish.
