Actually Pineconn, the link was for something else that I had found, but I inadvertently left the coordinates for you location.

I want to know what went through the mind of the person that made that neighborhood. "Hey, lets make a ring of houses that looks like a target from space. That way aliens will always shoot there." 😃

Wow...I just had one of the most retarded nights of sleep in YEARS.

I went to bed about 9:30.

I wake up at 11:53, and my pillow if super uncomfortable for some reason. Luckily, I still had my old pillow (which is REALLY soft and mushy...and I usually like firm ones), and that helped.

...then, I had some really stupid dreams and half dreams. Did I ever mention that I HATE HATE HATE dreaming about playing video games? My dreams of them get super complicated and make no sense at als. (For the record, I was dreaming of "The World Ends With You" and I was dreaming of super complicated random setting which don't exist). Then I'd suddenly wake up, and glance at the clock, only to realize that I'd only slept for one half hour. ...12:30....1:11...1:34...all the way to 3:30 AM, when I got up to get some water (and had to go to the downstairs bathroom for it, since my own is being renovated). When I got back into bed, I couldn't sleep for another hour or so.

Then, I get a lucky break. I slept all the way to 6:45. ...which puzzled me, since I set my DS alarm to 6:30. I hit snooze...and I wake up at 7. ...Hit it again...and my alarm goes off at 7:30, leaving me with half an hour less than usual to eat, get ready, and run for the bus. Either my DS is messing up with the time, or...I'm starting to sleep through it, which is very very bad...

...anyway...yeah, last night really sucked hardcore for me. I'm the kind of guy who needs a good 7-8 hours of either sleep, or deep rest. ...I hate this effing allergy season. ...It's worse than usual. Well...at least I'm feeling a bit better than yesterday... But If I have another crappy night like that last one...

Aegix, be glad you're not me. I feel tired throughout the day if I don't get 10 hours of sleep. Since I never get 10 hours, I'm almost always tired, except for the mornings. That's the only time that I'm awake.

I'm used to sleeping however long I want, but now this kinda sucks. I wake up at 1pm, work starts at 2:30pm, and I get out at 3am. Good thing its only four days a week though.

Hey, does anyone remember, about a year-ago ish there was a link in a post here to an article at Penny Arcade in which before they had (jokingly) criticised the parenting skills of this really out of control kid, and the step-mother wrote in to talk about what a nightmare the kid was?

I've been looking for it...

It was the first google result for: "penny arcade" + nightmare + kid + parenting
It took me 4 seconds to find and 32 seconds to post.

The Response

Pineconn, I have to say, that was the gayest thing ever. However, the scene with the kid running down the field was neat. Other than that, it looked like a huge sausage fest, what with all the half naked chubs grinding each other. XD Nobody shoving flutes anywhere, I hope...[>_>]

OTHER THAN THAT...it seems just a college dorm, except for like, middle/high school kids. [neat] WTF running into a mattress...

I just got home from seeing A Life Once Lost, Children of Bodom, and In Flames. Anyone like those bands?

...wow...google actualy did not occur to me...I was searching the site...

Yesterday it was cold enough where I was wearing a jacket and was still cold, and today I'm wearing shorts and still hot. How can weather change in one night so quickly?

See, this is what I face in Minnesota on a regular basis. Well, not totally regular - once you get into the dead middle of winter or summer, the temperature hovers pretty much around constant misery, but spring and fall are absolutely nuts. Yesterday it was in the high 60s, today it was in the 40s.

Yeah it sucks, I go out today expecting it to be cold and I come back to my room later in the day sweating.

Btw, rock_nog, where's your obligatory 1000th post thread?

Got back from state band finals. Tired. Got a I rating, the best possible (class A music). Tired still. This post is so retro.

...tidbit. I felt like being randwom. Aahh I'm too tired to hit backsplace to fix any typing errors.

I was originally going to quote your post and fix them for you, but then I realized I coudl't be arsed. Then I realized I couldn't even be arsed to fix my own typo, so now I guess we're just boned.

I blew it, didn't I? I think I hit 1,000 in the "Rush" thread in the Think Tank. Really, there were two factors contributing to my lack of a "1,000 posts" thread. One is that, being that I've had a couple of different screen names in the past (for which I'm terribly sorry, and I seriously had no intention of changing, just so I can go on record), in real terms, I hit 1,000 long ago. The second was that I just really didn't care that much. Wait, actually, there were three factors, the third being that, well, everybody does it, so I figured I'd be a rebel. I suppose this kind of negates that, though, but in fairness, I only did it in response to your comment, Phattonez.

My family's been getting some good deals at yard sales lately. Just today, we got a PDA (an HP iPAQ) for 2 bucks, and last week we got a Dreamcast (for free, if I remember correctly, since we bought some other stuff from the people trying to get rid of it). ...Part of the reason we got such good deals on them, though, is because the AV cable's missing from the Dreamcast and the iPAQ has a busted sync/power cable.

eBay!

I actually just picked up a couple of cool brass-esque wall lamp fixtures for five bucks at a yard sale that was across the street from my bus stop. I was waiting to go home, noticed them on the table, and went over.

...what?
I think they're cool.

Hooray bizarre weather. Just a couple of days ago, it was in the 70s here. When I woke up this morning, there was a full-scale blizzard going on. Now all the snow has melted. Yeesh.

I'm still in shorts and still hot, but I guess it's nice weather for the Festival of Books here this weekend, and the Dodger game I'm going to tonight.
