So...

It's almost 5am and I have to work at 8am. I haven't been able to fall asleep for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.

This sucks but at least I have Scrubs to watch. I suppose I COULD study my trauma assessment some.

I took two naps today, I feel so proud.

And now I want to drink something out of the refrigerator we just got.

So, I shot a staple gun into the middle finger on my left hand today. It really sucks. Hurts like hell, and I can't bend it at all without sharp pain.

I had a blanket stapled to my foot with a manual staple gun, once. That fuckin hurt. It was in the hell, tougher skin so it didn't do much more than bruise a whole lot and bleed a little. Hurt to walk on. Tetanus shot sucked. Not too bad, though.

Yes, because that certainly sounds like something we should all do at least once in our lifetimes.

I'm trying to get Discworld II to work properly on my machine, with very limited success. 😞 My life is just so exciting.

I am gradually discovering the fact that Doom 3 is one of the scariest games I've ever played. I don't really know what sort of "fear scale" I'm dealing with, but I do know that I very much hesitate and despise even so much as going into a new room out of the anticipation that enemies will be both found in the most unlikely of places AND appear out of places I've already scoured. Honestly, the latter is far, far more terrifying to me than the former. When I clear out an area, I'm convinced that it's a safe haven to retreat to and reload, and to gain my bearings. When an enemy attacks from behind me when my back is (Supposedly safely!) turned to my tiny little bloody sanctuary, it just creeps me the hell out. I don't even know which enemy to kill first. It almost feels like just blazing ahead would be safer than going back into that sanctuary to gain my bearings. Dang.

You, my good sir, are a wimp. Doom 3 may have made me jump in places, but it never scared me in any way likeyou're describing.

I met a rather attractive and by attractive I mean really damn cute girl. She goes to Columbus State like me.

That's all I've got to say at the moment.😃

but it never scared me in any way likeyou're describing.
Ah, wonderful. I'm not as horrible in overplaying describing things as I'd have thought. 😛 🙄 lol okay, maybe "scary" isn't the word for it. Maybe I'm just either annoyed (or thrilled that I need to do it in the first place) that I constantly need to switch between my flashlight and my shotgun, particularly in the middle of battle. It's not Doom 3 unless it's plentifully dark.

Airlocks are no fun though. I like to explore, and dislike being timed.

Oh my gosh...Don't get me started on doom 3...scared the heck out of me when I played it.

zombies jumping out of shadows to eat me is not something I like.

😞

Mind you...I had a friend who died before even finding his first enemy. He was randomly punching around, and he hit an oil drum. And thus, humanity's last hope fell...

[Erec Dys]. I can't tell if you're serious, Dechipher, if if you're being an all around tough guy like normal.

So yeah, I have auditions for symphonic/concert band placement tomorrow. I guarantee I'll make symphonic (the better of the two bands), but I'm shooting for 2nd chair (I'm a junior, BTW). I guarantee this senior will be first chair, but I'm vying with a cocky fellow junior and an apathetic senior for 2nd/3rd/4th. I can't be any more nervous now.

Just calm yourself. As advice from the son of a professional musician, if you try obsessivly to do your best, and fret over every mistake, you'll just end up making more.

EDIT: Yeah, you've already probably had the audition, huh. Gotta start reading timestamps.

I think I did pretty well. Either 2nd or 3rd symphonic, I'd say. The senior that I said would make 1st chair thinks I did better than him (which I don't), and I think the cocky junior did better than me (himself and the senior disagree). The apathetic senior did just terrible. 😛

It's going to be like this until he posts the results in a few weeks.

I wish we were this smart when we were in elementary school. 😞

Ok, Pineconn...that image you posted...

I was rolling on the floor for a bit there...

😞 why the hell weren't we smart enough to try somethiing like that when we were in elementary school?

I mean, In my old school, there was just one small door to reach the yard, so it'd have been super easy.

Alright, I know that I just changed my avatar twice in one day, but I just saw the best (albeit old) episode of South Park.

Ok, how's about Adam Sandler, on a boat, falling in love with a mermaid. Genius!

Recently (well, fairly. About a month ago), we switched internet providers. We were formerly with Tesco.net, but switched to Sky.com because then we could get TV, Phone and Internet for one relatively low price. The problem is, the internet is shit. It keeps cutting out, on both the router and my USB adapter.

So now finally, after threatening to stop subscribing, we are told that we need to be connected to the main line, which we weren't - we got an extension to the main line some time ago. And it took them a month, and numerous calls to the help desk, to tell us this. I am really starting to hate Sky.

haha, sucks for you. well i guess it wouldnt suck for you, because some people dont like to see their report cards.
