The_Amaster wrote:Yeah, I've beaten it completely as well. Geez, hours spent playing Mushroom Hill trying to get all those damn Super Emeralds.
Hours? It took me 20 minutes to get them all. Go into the big ring at the start, get an emerald. Restart the system, and repeat.
The_Amaster wrote:EDIT: Oh yeah, only complaint about S3&K? That stupid section in Carnival Night. If you've played, you know what I mean.
I know what you mean. It's so annoying.
Super tails is soooo overpowered it's not funny.
I know. That's why I love it. I beat the last boss's second part (with the fingers) without even moving. So much fun.
Hyper Sonic's nice too, but nothing beats Super Tails. I just wish you could play the Doomsday Zone with him.
Yeah, but I was 12, and not very experienced at games. There were one or two of the stupid bonus levels that screwed me over every time. Eh,I got em all eventually.
Hey, I'm just fourteen. But I'll admit, save states can help a bit. 😃 Although now I'm to the point where I can beat all of them anyways.
The_Amaster wrote:Better gameplay? The Pokemon gameplay hasn't changed an iota in like, ever.
The entire EV/IV growth system was changed between the GB/C and GBA games, and the battle system was heavily altered.
If the remakes were identical to the origanals, save for the graphics, I might consider playing the older games. But the Advance games are just better.
True, but EV/IVs really only matter if you battle competitively.

Um, they are, basically. IVs and EVs don't matter. I'd actually argue that Yellow's better because you get all three of the starters, plus a Pikachu that actually has defense, and won't die in one hit.
Screw having all three starters. They're all overpowered, it's like romping through the game with a team full of Legendaries. D:>
Well I like it. They're half my team. The other halfis an overpowered Pikachu, a Snorlax, (which is almost a legendary), and a sandslash (the only normal one). So ya, I guess I've got a team of five semi-legendaries and a normal. Do you call that unfair?
My cockatoo laid an egg. Just thought I'll shared that with you. Anyways, good night.
I remember in Gold beating Red and his team of Level 80-somethings with a level 74 Meganium and an level 72 Umbreon. (And a lv 60 Snorlax damage buffer for a couple turns)
Good times, good times.

It's an overpowered team, but, meh, choose whoever you want. I try to pick the pokmon I like, not necessarily based on how strong they are.
Out of the original 150 my ideal team would probably be •Slowbro •Electabuzz •Golbat •Mr. Mime •Charizard, aaand I don't know who my sixth guy would be. I usually only have five well-trained pokmon by the end of the game.

Same here. I won't touch 80% of them because they're so ugly. The only thing is that I might have picked a marowak instead of a sandslash, but I found the sandshrew really early in the game at a high level, so I got it. Other than that, it's my perfect team.
I wanna say I beat Red version with a Venusaur, a Raichu, a Dugtrio, a Pidgeot, a Snorlax and a Vaporeon.
When I was playing LeafGreen, I had a Blastoise, Marowak, Pidgeot, Raichu, Flareon, and Snorlax. But I got to Victory Road, got bored, and switched to Yellow. 😃
So I just took this killer history test a minute ago. My teacher must be pure evil to think of some of this stuff. I've been getting 100s on every test this year, and suddenly, bam! I'm upset because my perfect record's probably ending here. 😞

ROTATING BARREEEELL!!!! 😞
I was stuck on that forever as a kid. Then, when I found the solution (without GameFAQS, I might add), I blinked and said "what the hell, that was stupid". I hated that barrel and everything it stood for.
Nnd No I don't play pokemon anymore. After the dissapointment that was Ruby/Sapphire, I gave up. I just couldn't get into diamond/pearl. I DO play red-blue once in a VERY blue moon, and also Goldversion in a very rare instance as well.
Hmmm? Why were you disappointed with Ruby and Sapphire?

Wow! I always thought cockatoos were cool. Are you gonna let her hatch it or do you not have a male for her?

Holy shit. I would gladly take the lives of half the members of this forum in exchange for one more episode of Red Dwarf. Christmas came early.
...another episode of Red Dwarf!? I'd move to Fiji!
Helz yes!
What the heck is red dwarf?
It's a British Sci-Fi Sitcom. Those three words should express it's awesomness.
*musing* I had Rimmer as my avatar once. I think I'll change it back...

[sigh] young people these days. 😞

One of THE BEST brit com (sci fi) shows EVER produced. I was stupid (as a teenager) and didn't watch it (didn't like it) when it first came out. I've since grown up, learned how to appreciate the idiosyncrasies of some TV shows... and now LOVE Red Dwarf.
My mom got me hooked on her taped episodes when I was ten. She only had about 15 though, so thank god for DVD collections.
I am not familiar with Red Dwarf, but to my credit I do not watch television, so.....I'm barely familiar with most shows. I watch the American version of The Office sometimes, but only on DVD collections.
I watch very little TV. Mainly just my DVD collection of Get Smart. I love that show so much.
I don't watch TV either, but I do keep an eye out on the internet for word of a good show and then I watch it on DVD. For instance, I can't remember the last time I watched FOX, and yet I have 4 seasons of House on DVD.
