Now that we have our own sub-forum for the contest, this thread is somewhat obsolete. Instead, start a new thread in this sub-forum with the link to your quest and any relevant information you wish to relate to prospective players.
(I recommend opening a Google account and using Google Drive to host, though the AGN quest database is good too)
Such threads will be used to discuss and critique the quest during the popular judging. Submissions will be admissible until November 12th.
EDIT: Removed links from this post. Find the corresponding threads and download there, that way the quest creator can police their own updates.

I noticed I am not on the list! I am making the game right now for the past week. I just finished level 5. So it is on its way. Can we add my name to the list? 😃
I actually never had any intention on making a 5th quest entry myself. I love the idea, and probably would've had I not ruined my last system.
There is a chance that by November I'll have a new system and participate in the judging process though, so best of luck to all the entrants. At that time, though, I'll probably finish up the hookshot code and pegasus boots, and make some soldiers with line of site, etc.. to finish up the LttP functionality.
Please don't make them too hard! I spent almost an hour running around 3rd quest and still never even found level 1! 😃
I can access my files again so I am back in business. With no time at all apparently but I will try to do what I can.
Well, it is October 5th, so declaration of competition is closed.
Everyone now has one more month to complete and submit their quest to the contest (in this thread, preferably, so that people can see all the entries at once) or withdraw.

There are some who have played my quest already and believe it should be disqualified. Let's see what the community thinks. The floating deadline is for quests that will be tested by AGN`s quest players club. Any quest submitted by November 5th will still be eligible for the contest, as PureZC`s rules did not declare a floating deadline. No stress.
EDIT: I should clarify. The Quest Players Club will play ALL the entries in this thread to their conclusion <hopefully> and give feedback regarding bugs and uncomfortable gameplay (Some of this has already begun in AGN`s Quest Discussion Forum, and an official playthrough discussion of the first submitted quest <Chris Miller`s> will be posted sometime this evening <again, hopefully>. When the actual judging begins, there is no guarantee that quests will receive this kind of attention, or even a full playthrough.
So if you want this manner of rigorous testing, post a link to your quest in this thread before November 5th.
Ok great I will try to have it finished sooner rather than later. Just finished Level 2 this morning.
I wanted to hop in and mention that I'll be entering this one as well. I just came back to messing around with ZC a couple days ago and noticed this. I haven't touched it since I finished the 4th quest.
I'm doing this one the same way I did the 4th (zero planning, literally). I guess we'll see what happens.
I already have level 5 finished, so it should only be a few more days before I'm ready to submit something.
Okaaay.... I've been back in the 1980's for the last 10 days (Great scott!!) but it looks like the majority is still pending here.. Don't cut it too close guys or you won't have time to fix bugs and other issues. :P
I've got about half a quest so far. I'd put the likelihood of my finishing it on time at about 50%. The hardest thing I've tried to do so far is tweak it for proper difficulty, but I figure that will be something that can be hashed out later anyway.

I have decided to step out of the contest. Losing a month set me back more then I can recover from but also life has been draining me of the energy needed to be creative. I will from this point forward start helping out in other ways such as playing through other entries.I may, after the ccontest is finished, complete my entry at leisure at which time it will be publicly released.

I have about as much chance of winning this contest as I have of winning the powerball jackpot 3 times. This is my first ever quest I designed for public use. I just entered so I can get sound feedback and nothing else.

I'm still not quite finished with my quest, but I do intend to release one. I have ate, drank, and slept this quest for about a month now, so I hope it will be well-received.
I am trying to meet the deadline, and I believe that I will, but if not, I'll release what I have at that time. I'll talk more about it when that time comes. Also, if anyone would like to try running it for bug-testing, that would be great. I'm doing my best to work them out as I go, but there are bound to be some things that slip through.
Here's a WIP of my entry, note that I have NOT really worked the details of the overworld out yet, although major things are in place (still need to do the secrets though). It should be ready through level 7, 8 and 9 are just sketched out. I hope I'm okay since I don't frequent AGN (only went here literally once to report a bug, that's about it) but I was building a 5th quest entry since I'm frequently on PureZC, and just stopped by now since I *just* finished mine yesterday. Sorry about that! I hope I'm still allowed to enter, even if I think I probably won't win. D:

Sorry guys gonna be down to the wire for me, had some unforeseen circumstances eat up a decent chunk of time. I'm going to try to finish though, I came this far and really want to see how I measure up to the other quest makers.
Now that we've got a sub-forum, you don't have to post in this thread to compete anymore. Instead, just go ahead and start a new thread about your quest in the 5th Quest Contest sub-forum and then I'll copy the link to your quest in the first post of this discussion.

Also, as explained in the thread I just linked to, the deadline has been pushed back to November 12th to ensure everyone has time to both see this new instruction and submit their quests correctly.
