franpa has it right. I imported Soul Calibur 2 back when we still had many months before we'd get it on consoles. Though, true the ISO is out there. And just because it isn't out here is no reason the ISO wouldn't be ripped. It's the biggest Wii game yet, why wouldn't someone in Japan rip it or more likely someone in china, or even just someone in the west that imported it?
But anyway, the only shitty thing is the Wii isn't so easy to play imports on like the GC was. The GC you could just buy a disc to boot imports or install a simple switch.
I'll have to look for it when I have a chance :kawaii: Thanks MSU
The new final destination music kicks ass.
rock_nog wrote:So, if it's against the rules to post a link to a link to illegal material... If somebody posted a link to a link, and I posted a link to the thread with the link to the link, would I be in violation of the rules? Or what if, the link to the link was in fact a link to the original thread, such that it creates some sort of weird predestination paradox? *goes cross-eyed* Sorry, sorry, I couldn't help myself.
The question of legality is one of reasonable doubt.
Let's say you link to a forum, and this forum has illegal downloads somewhere on it as a side forum (not the entire forum -- that's obviously wrong). If you post it as "Hey this is a forum I go to" it's OK (though maybe advertising). If you post it as "Hey man this forum's got the hookup for music", you are posting a link to something against the AGN TOS.
Let's say you link to a blog article that links to a blog article that... (18 links later) links to warez. Once again, it's the spirit of the post: "This is a nice opinion about piracy" shows you might be unaware of the dubious nature of the linked sites; "This guy is a good starting point for cracks" shows knowledge.
I believe a set of rules is:
- If I know the link leads to pirated material before I click it, it's bad.
- If I click on the link, and the pirated material is on that page and related to the post, it's bad.
- If I click on the link, and can get to pirated material immediately, it's questionable.
- If I click on the link, and pirated material is on an offsite link that's obvious, it's questionable.
This is an instance of the first case, "Hey guys download these mp3s" leaves no question. It doesn't matter if you link to a page that only lets you download the materials after clicking through 30 off-site links; if you post "Click here to download pirated music" and you can't figure out that falls under "Do not link to pirated content" then I'm not really sure how you can operate a forum.
Note this is not a comment on whether I would download it or not, I just didn't like the snarky "Oh the rule is stupid look a clever loophole!" and I like griping.
Oh geez, I'm sorry, I didn't mean for that to be a serious questioning of "the rules," and I certainly didn't intend for it to be snarky. I completely understand, from a practical point of view. My mind just occasionally gets stuck in weird feedback loops, or something to that effect.
AGN has it's own Terms of Service, and each sub forum may have additional rules. Here's AGN's ROM and Copyrighted Material Policy for GGD: http://www.armageddongames.net/forums/announcement.php?f=36
I have always enforced the Copyrighted Material Policy like we do for prohibited content in GAD:
"As a general rule, you MAY NOT post requests or links to any sites containing content that you would not be allowed to post here. This goes for all forms of media...Such sites include those that directly host such content or whose purpose is to act as a gateway to such content. (such as a web-ring)"
You're all free to talk about the sountrack, but please stop arguing over your different interpretations of the Copyrighted Material Policy. That's what it is. But, if you have specific questions, email a mod. (like me)

Link's Awakening Overworld remix.. damn! Seems like a lot of these songs are on youtube now.
Sweet, Twilight Princess's main theme is in! I'll admit, I like the edit they did at 1:10 to include the entire theme. (EDIT: The entire Zelda music selection is amazing!)
Aaahhh, Brawl is going to be awesome! ...But first, I need a Wii.
lmfao, Gourmet Race is so incredibly hard rock. I love it.
Today's update they have new moves, including swimming! Ooh, I hope there's water in the stage builder, mwuhahaha. Also, I need a Wii.

This picture is amazing.
I give up trying to download the SSBB torrent. I'll just listen to the MP3s on YouTube.
*looks at the song list on his Torrent"

SONIC BOOM! YESSSSSSSS!!!
Ah, the memories.
EDIT: Ohhh, Midna in Distress. The creepy as hell song that I wanted as soon as I heard it. Also yessss!
How is that song creepy? I used it in RM2K3 a lot actually, and never for a creepy moment. [shrug]
(Yeah, I know, gravedigging, but it's better than posting off topic somewhere else)
Holy Crap!
If you listen in the middle of the Metal Gear Solid song Theme of Tara, there's the Mission Impossible distinctive flute trill.
Woo-hoo!
