Totally! I'm stopping for tonight having just found Lucario on top of the mountain peaks. 42% complete. Hope those weren't spoilers.
So...

Stop rubbing it in.

Sorry, but it's just, wait, that would be rubbing it in. 😃
Say, isn't the Wii [SIZE=2]great? I mean, I just love my [SIZE=4]Wii.[SIZE=2] In fact, I don't know how I'd deal without a [SIZE=4]Wii[SIZE=2], they are just that awesome. I sure feel bad for anyone who doesn't have a [SIZE=4]Wii.
[SIZE=2]Nah, I'm done now. Expect my mention of my Wii to decrease significantly now that the Brawl fever is over. 😉

@ amaster: :glare:
You rub it in on me one more time and I WILL send my crack squad of Moogles over to your house.
I happen to have a copy of Brawl (my friend got a second one somehow, and he's giving it to me), but I have no Wii to play it on. :uhoh:
Seriously, I'm done now. I just wanted to do that one post.
Aegix, you don't have a Wii? I could have sworn you did...
Everybody should be watching Breaking Bad. No exceptions.
Hal Cranston really can act.
And I messed up my thumb playing football today. Grrreat.

No exceptions?
*points to sig*
:P You just contradicted yourself.
I know how you feel about the Brawl-Wii problem Aegix. I've got the same problem because there's only store in my town that carries video game products and they've been sold out of Wiis since September 2007.
Aegix, I didn't contradict myself. The TV is right next to my monitor; I can do both at the same time.
I GOT BRAWL!!! My friend's mom was shopping at Costco, and she saw them put out a full shelf full of Brawl copies! And she picked one up for me! Time to Brawl!
Argghhhhh! My parents don't let me play Wii on weeknights!
*hyperventilates*
Hahahahahahahaaaa!!! 😃
I mean...
Sorry to hear that. 😞

I can think of a very obvious solution. Do it anyway.
They don't let you play Wii but they let you spend time on AGN? I'm pretty sure both will rot your brain equally, just play Wii anyway 😛
They think I'm doing homework on the computer. *cough*
And the Wii is set up right in the family room. No way to not get caught.
*an idea occurs* Any way to hook up a Wii to a computer monitor? Only I have an old one in my room.
Amaster42 wrote:And the Wii is set up right in the family room. No way to not get caught.
Again, just do it anyway. If they catch you, just keep doing it.
And that, Phattonez, is the quickest way to get grounded in most households, bar calling everyone an ******* moron, retard, blahblah blah, you get my drift.
And I just found out that the only real place to get a Wii (that I know of) in my town is only getting a new shipment in 3 weeks...3 WEEKS!!!
...My options are to try to locate that random store my friend told me about, or go to ANOTHER town, and try there. ...I'm actually considering action 2 right about now.
Sure you'll get grounded, but even when you're grounded go and do it.
It's nice to be an adult and not have to live under inane rules.
Icey wrote:It's nice to be an adult and not have to live under inane rules.
QFT. This is my POV, and I want everyone else to see things from this POV.
phattonez wrote:Sure you'll get grounded, but even when you're grounded go and do it.
>_> See, that never worked in my house. My parents would take away AND HIDE the object in question. ...Of course I got around the temporary loss of my gameboy by using my Old-school one... but otherwise, no dice.
Also, I'm too nice and honorable for my own good.
And Icey, I agree with you. Now that I'm 19, they can't (and don't even try) to make me obey rules. :P But they still give me the evil glare whnever I'm doing something I shouldn't (in their opinion).
*takes a deep breath*
Ah, nothing like a trip to the good ol' library.
Just picked up a book on programming, one on robotics, the new Terry Pratchett book, and three by my favorite author Orson Scott Card. These should last me till Saturday or so.
Yeah, if I played Wii, I'd lose my parents trust as well, which wouldn't allow me to get away with half of what I get away with.
I once went to the library to get a book on Javascript. I have since completely forgotten Javascript.

My parents won't let me either! It's an outrage!
Amaster42 wrote:They think I'm doing homework on the computer. *cough*
How could you stoop so low as to deceive you parents? Okay, I have done that once or twice. But it's not a good habit to get into. Trust me, I learned that the hard way...
Eh, quite honestly, it's kind of a "wink wink, homework, riiiight" situation.
Basicly, as long as I do do some actual homework, I can use the electronics even though my siblings can't. But definitely not the Wii.
I think that your parents are the kind of overbearing type. I would fight against it somehow.
I prefer subterfuge to outright rebellion. Theres less that you can do, but your chances of getting caught are far lower.
Pretty much, I never do anything if I judge a significant chance of getting caught. And things with high risks I tend not to be too interested in anyway, so it works out.
phattonez wrote:I think that your parents are the kind of overbearing type. I would fight against it somehow.
Trust me, that only gets you in an even worse situation.
My parents were the "do whatever you want as long as you don't act retarded or just completely disrespectful." It was pretty easy-going, but then again, they didn't like us slacking off too much. They didn't make us do homework as long as we got a good grade at the end of the quarter. We were all pretty smart for high school so it really was all pretty easy.
