It's okay, I successfully survived the dissection with minimal freakout, thanks to a combination of a little raging plus a lot of gallows humor. Okay, so the fetal pig didn't make it out alive, but it was an acceptable casualty.

Hmm, I wanna say sophomore year we did squid, crayfish, and frog. It was alright, but it was hard to make stuff out.
I'm like "...is that the spleen? I think its kinda where the spleen is supposed to be...ish..."
When I was a sophmore my class dissected frogs. Of course I just chilled back and took no part in it.
I remember back in grade 8, I had to do a cow toungue (spelling?) dissection. I kept thinking to myself, "why? Why the toungue? Is there a point to this? Will parts of the toungue be on the test? We didn't learn anything about toungues, so why are we dissecting one? What is the point?!"
For the record, no, there was no test, and the teacher never spoke about the dissection ever again. I still can't find a reason for it. It was like the tunnel scene from Charlie and the Choclate Factory.

There was a point to that scene. It was to show that willy wonka was totally batshit insane!
I had to dissect a worm. Which was also the most retarded thing, because I remember nothing other than a kid eatting one of the organs. Which is also the most retarded thing you could do.
Agh, I've got to go in and get my schedule changed tomorrow. I thought I had a second period study hall this quarter, that I was going to switch to something else. Turns out, they did it for me.
