Super Dave is back. Funny how you don't hear from me till I need something. I've read a lot of posts on most of your forums, but I really don't speak your language, and I don't know what to say without making a fool of myself.
I've been playing Link To Tortuga and I'm stuck in level 3, Adobe Flats. I have the map, compass and shield upgrade. When I ride the escalator I think I see the chest with the whistle or flute [Are both of them in this level ?],but I don't know how to get over there. I've been killed on that escalator so many times I call it the ESCALATOR OF DEATH. Please help, I'm ready to give up, I've been in this level for two weeks
I've read in this forum that some have trouble buying potion. I've have never been able to buy any. I think I have the latest version of 210, and I don't know how to write over a game. Am I out of luck ? Maybe I'm too old to be doing this any more.

You ride the escalator past the chest and hookshot to the torch above it to get the key.
You need the mushroom for potions, it was up by level 1, if you got it and the potion shops still don't work then it's a 2.10 bug, but generally not ALL of them fail to work,
I only had trouble with 1 of them myself in testing.
You might try walking out and back in and see if that makes them work.
Already have the key, I don't know how to get to the chest
Ive tried walking in and out of all the shops I could find, still nothing. This is going to be hard to beat with no potions
I got to thinking about that mushroom after I posted this, and I remembered that I never did figure out how to get the the damned thing. Boomerang didn't work nor did the hookshot
I just figured it was there for decoration.
the mushroom - go to the screen above the mushroom ( look at the map ) and walk down
to the chest - instead of going down after you walkedthrough the wall to the belt just walk up 😉

I just kind of assumed that since one of the higher levels is near there I wasn't really meant to be there just yet. Finished level 2 though, and know exactly how to get to level 3 as well, so I'm on my way next chance I get.
Sad, I'm already up to 6 or so hours played and over 100 deaths. Wow. 😊 I am a little too reluctant to use my potions, I guess. I also try things before I'm ready - like those patras.

I've played lots of differant Zelda games, OcrinaOf Time, Maj. Mask, Wind Walker, ect..... I've never felt so stupid, [after I finally figure out, whatever I'm stuck at] playing a game in my life. I guess my imagination isn't what it used to be. I looked at that red thing your supposed to hit with your sword at least twenty times. It just never ocurred to me to get on the escalator and take a swipe at it. DUH! What a moron I am. :redface:
Anyway, THANKS for the help Elise and Freedom I finished the level. It wasn't that tough once I got that flute.
More questions: In the box on the item screen I have the map and compass.Is there something else that I haven't got yet supposed to be there too?
Also the map on the item screen. Is it supposed to reset when you do a save ? After I save and come back to a dungeon, it doesn't show all the rooms I'd been in before I saved. Just wondering. I wonder about a lot playing this game. I wonder why that is ?

the empty spot is for the boss key, which I seldom use because there was a bug with boss lock blocks.
The map disappearing is a 2.10 bug
Thanks for answering my questions. I read about a map bug in [I think] this forum. At the time I didn't know what you were talking about. If I keep reading these posts I'm going to be a smart old man. maybe.
Don't forget the smartest thing to do is ask help if you really get stuck

I just started playing your game today and, well.... I can't figure out how to get to the second orb switch in level one and/or get to the hookshot. Pleeeeeaaase help this poor old sap... 😞
PS: am I supposed to have the bow at this point (I have the arrows)
No you don't suppose to have the bow yet 😊

in 7 there is a room with nothing except 2 firepots. the lens shows a hidden trap door in the floor. how do i get the door open? thanks

Hello well I'm stuck on level 2 I found the orb room went to the room on the right it's got a small lake in the room the orb room is divided.
Try going through walls but have not found the way in.
Also this is a great Quest Thank You freedom for making it.

hi, i am stuck on level 2. i have found the bow and the raft but can't seem to find wat to do next. i have tried walkin threw every wall possible. i also can't find the last two crystals that will allow me to pass the statues that are blocking the paths on each side under the waterfall. (not talking about the two cystals that can be reached after defeating the spiders, already got those) plz help sum1.
if you are in the screen with the two big orbs on each side of the water and a statue with a dock in the middle. did you hit the little orb in the middle with your boomer ?

I'm stuck in level 6. I have done most of the right side and the bottom of the dungeon (up to the point where I need the refelctive shield) and I can't find the reflective shield to go further. I've walked through some walls and tried boomeranging things to no avail. There is one room with a closed door on the right and some stones that don't seem to move (with the like-likes) that may be the path. Is there more than one entrance? Can someone please help?
On the right side there is a walkthrough wall to the left in a room with 2 big statues that you had to hit to open a door 😊
Thanks, Elise. I was at that spot three times and still managed to miss the hidden passage. The holes in the wall are so small... Off to level 7.
im stuck on level 6, is there more than 1 entrance into the level? i have gotten in the level by burning the tourch that lets u in the graveyard. hit the eyes and gotten the key that allows u in the room that displays the red tonic. i kill the two like like's and cannot figure out wat to do next from here,
also in level 5 i found an item and not sure wat it does and woundering if sum1 could fill me in, its the cross lookin thing that has the white wings the move on it- its an item that i can't use, it is used automaticly, i guess. thanx 4 the help.
In 6 try your items on the big skull head statues.
the item in 5 is the amulet, it allows you to see invisible enemies.
I'm stuck again in level 7. I found all the items, but I can't get into the area where the boss is.
Nobody else had trouble with this, so it must be too obvious for me to see. 😊
left from the entrance there is a screen with 4 candles and 4 blocks solve the puzzle 😉
I�ve just started to play your game.Now I need help finding the last entrance to level 1. I�ve found the main enctrence and the one by the witch.I�ve walked around everywhere and lit all torches and fixed all trees .Burned some too. Got bombs ,arrow,woodensword and so on.
I did read somewhere that the third entrence was in the tree where the boy ask for a Skulltuna but I don�t see it. Tryed to give him a skulltuna but it didn�t work. Tryed to bomb the tree and lit it the tree up with fire.Hit it with my sword. Nothing works.
Now I really need help ! So if anyone can help me please do😊

Well, actually I can see the chest it is in, but can't get to it. I have been in every room but one - I assume that one has a teleport to the room the wallet is in.
Any hints? Once again I seem to be the only one who can't find it. 😊
Do I even really need it at this point anyway? There's nothing big to buy.
I also missed out on the lens permanently. 😞 Freedom, I know it's a little late now but you might want to think about adding a way to get the lens if you miss it. I found the ship it's on right after beating level 7.
