i heared there is a glitch in zquest 2.10 that cayses youy to not be able to import tile sts is it true if not canyou e-mailme
or pm me on how to do it?

its im port thats broken it corrups the
tiles itry to load

That problem's been fixed in the 2.11 betas, z-nut. Also, Dark Nation was talking about possibly releasing a bugfix version of 2.10, so you might be able to just wait for that, rather than waiting for 2.11 and upgrading.

Ok, after frustrating hours of contemplation, I have accidentally figured out that windowed means going to the start menu and picking Zelda from there. Now, question. It's minimized! Lol... It's like I'm playing on a game boy advance! Helpmeh, helpmeh, helpmeh... Oh, and speak computer illiterate talk; I don't even know what import and export mean when in reference to computers. Thanks...

there should be several shortcuts if you downloaded the 'zc210w.exe' file. if not, i highly suggest you download it, because it simplifies the execution of Zelda Classic. (if you didn't, and you extracted the ones from the .ZIP file, then it is recommended you delete those files before installing the ones from the .EXE file, because there is a chance that they might get conflicted, as well as having two sets of the same files would just confuse you further)

Alright im having a major issue.... something is wrong with the sound i restarted and i start an applictation of the editor but if i run the game to there wont be any sound to the one i just opened but i have to shutdown then open the game everytime i decide to use it...😡 😕

I tried to run the Linux port (2.11) and it tells me that it can't find libXpm.so.4, even though it's there in /usr/lib and the dir is in my path. I even tried copying it to the game folder. Won't work. Any ideas why?

It seems that a few minutes in, the game's colors rearrange themselves. Sometimes this helps because I can see in dark rooms, but most the time I turn tan and orange and can't see my sword. Alt-tabbing back in returned the colors to normal in 1.92 beta 183, but 2.1 keeps them. It may be my video card acting up.

Having issues with 2.10. No sound and key commands are whacky. It worked on my old puter ((98)) but having issues on the XP I guess. Well, it might be that I'm missing the support files for it? Windows version by the way.
But I'm also having issues with this site recently. It's hit or miss whether it lets me download, sign on even, post or email. I've tried for about a month to come back for the support files but each time it gives me this
"Not Found
The requested URL /zc210ws.zip was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Whether it's this or some other little secret I don't know about... if someone could help me get my sound in 2.10 and control the keyboard buttons I would really appreciate it. The keyboard issue is when I punch one key to assign, it says a different one. Maybe there's another site with the support files that would fix this? That I don't know about? Help??? Please??? I've asked this in other places but I feel invisible or something... no one is helping me. Maybe my posts aren't showing??? Since I'm having site issues? I don't 'see' responses... I dont' have emails or messages. So if someone did try to help.. I didn't get it.

Note: all other games (and quest downloads for them) are cool and fine. Just the 2.10 is giving me trouble.

And...just in case my PM isn't working on ZC... if someone would like to try and help me be able to use 2.10 you can email me at [email][email protected][/email]. NOT that this is a sure bet!!! Those are hit and miss too (for everyone)...lolol. Thanks in advance for any kindness shown. 😃

depends on if you download the full install or just an upgrade... and the midi bug was introduced in 2.10 and there is no newer stable version that solves it.

Hmm, the subdomain didn't work, but using DN's name as a subfolder did. O_o; Might want to have that fixed.

I give up, I've tried looking all the way through the site.

I've tried looking all the way through the Zelda Classic program, I've done everything but tore the thing apart to avoid coming on the forum and being a n00b, but I gotta be a n00b now.

I'm, uh, having trouble getting into custom quests, I'm very interested in playing what other users submit here but all I have been able to play are the quests that come with ZC 2.10. I hate to be a n00b but is there a section I've missed that tells you about to access dled customs?

I also ask because I want to create my own quests using but I can't test my own creations if I can't play them. I'm a windows user btw.

I also want to see say Zelda Classic is a great concept, from what I've been able to play so far in the default is awesome stuff, Demo Quest EX is great fun.

Q: How do I load a custom Quest? (Submitted by Ganonator)
A:
1) Double click on zelda-w.exe (Assuming your using the windows version)
2) Press "Enter" to pass the flames.
3) Press "Enter" to pass the Zelda intro screen.
4) register a name, and press enter.
5) press "A" (Alt)
6) Press "A" (Alt) again
7) browse to the quest you want to play, choose it and press "ok"
8) press "Enter" to play.

One of the stickies in this forum has "FAQ" in it's title. If you look through there you will find many other things that will help you get started. If you are looking to start making your own quests, then you may also want to use a tutorial. Alphadawg's works great for people who are new to the program. Maybe this has been posted already, but my thread/posts Search is not working. How can I slow down ZC with Vsync enabled? If I do not put it in Vsync, then I get a terrible screen flicker, but the game speed is accurate. If I put it in Vsync, then the flicker disappears, but the program is now in hyper speed.

Any help would be great!

Throttle FPS should do you nicely.
I always got the flicker in fullscreen with it on though, I have to play in 640x480.
