The boss key is just north of the room with the golden arrow. You must walk through a wall to reach the room where you MUST defeat 3 mirror wizzrobes.
Isle of the Winds
how do i get into level 9? i blew the whistle, blew everything up, have no idea. i have all the 8 triforce pieces.
you didn't blow the whistle on the whistle spot, that is in the middle of the triforce symbol.
Since there is no search function and there is no walkthrough offered on the Isle of the Winds Quest page, I hope you all will forgive me if my question is answered somewhere else in the forum. 😊
I must be stupid because I'm stuck in dungeon #1! After I beat the mini-boss(two dodongo's)...... nothing happens! Every other pathway is blocked as far as I can tell. Please tell me this isn't one of those games where you have to bomb every wall tile in the entire dungeon to find the way forward. 😮dd:
Any tips would be appreciated. 😊
O_o
You didn't get the Bow after beating both Dodongs and the shutter door didn't open after they were defeated? If you answered no to both questions, something is wrong. What player are you playing it in? Its supposed to be ver. 1.92 beta 183 for best results.
I am the one who got permanently stuck in Level A after saving as soon as I got the hammer. And you told me to start over 😡 , and I have. I am up to Level 7 now, and am majorly confused! I need the Boss Key. I have been in every mapped room, except for the boss/Triforce ones, got all the keys (I think), and cannot progress. Is there a 3rd entrance, random bomb wall, or perhaps 3rd item that I have overlooked? (I got the Boots and Silver Arrow but CANNOT FIND ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE S.ARROW; it might be that...) I cannot get into the blue-tiled part of the rooms deep on both sides of Gemini, either.
But I would appriciate any help as to continue through the 7th dungeon as well as the game.
Oh, BTW, Beta 183 version 1.92 is what I am using, as you have said, yet not everything works properly. I have found that some Wallmasters bring me to room 00: A blank screen. That Dodongo room in Level 1 also screws up; I vouch for that as well. And one more thing: Something that you plain ol' missed. Try swimming in the screen with the entrance to Level 4 in the swamp. You can kinda' swim on top of the massive entrance.
'Preciate it!
Level 7 (gemini): from the left entrance go up and 3 right. Find the secret passage. (Push something I think) Follow it until you come to the boss key. The passage goes through the blue-tiled rooms. And you'll see what the silver arrow is good for when you get to the boss (yes, it's gohma).
The continue bugs are not fatal, you can save and exit zc then go back in and it should go well again.
I suggest personally you beat levels a and b before going on to 8/9 as the hammer and mirror shield clear out darknuts and wizzrobes that are otherwise a major pain in your backside.
P.S. This counts for everybody that might be reading - Make backups of your save file!!
there is sometimes a continue bug in all of my quests, but the reason why beta 183 is so good to play these quests is because it can HANDLE these continue bugs. If it should occur, you simply press f6 and continue from the start of the dungeon and 183 is smart enough not to get you stuck permenantly somewhere. That is why I suggest 183 is the best to use for these quests of mine.
And the reasoning behind level 7 Gemini is duality. What is different on one side is hidden on the other. So if you enter the right entrance and go up one screen and left 3. You'll end a room with the boots, but only one weird shooting statue. Go in the left entrance, up one screen and right 3, exact same room, but you acquire the bombs. Notice what's missing? The shooting statue! Push that statue to reveal the passage to the boss key. Many things are like this in level 7. Find a clue on one side, utilize it for the other.
Aha! Got it. I realized the duality quite early on, yet I overlooked that one simple thing! Everything I caught on to quickly except for, well, the key. After emptying out my potions, I got that dreadful Triforce. Thanks, both of you! 😊
I see with the bugs. Too bad 1.92 is so buggy. Ugh. Of course, 2.10's ZQ is unstable, so to get something you have to give something.
Great game so far! I look forward to the perils and traps of Leo!
heh, and a sneaky surprise at the end of the level! 😉
I'm having some problems in lvl. 2. I get in the level and bomb all the breakable walls and move all the blocks that I can but I can't seem to get past a few obsticals. One of the obsticles are the apperently wooden blocks, their the light tan ones. I'm certain that I need the lamp/candle to burn them but have not found it yet. Is it within this level or somewhere else?
The other problem is about the globe switches around the level. I found that they can be triggered with the sword but in a couple of rooms the switches are seperated from link and only reachable through long range weapons. I have tried using arrows with no success. I have also purchesed the boomerang and tried to use it but it does not work. Is there something else that I need to find to trip these switches?
I initially came across these problems using 2.10 but after reading through this thread I found that b183 would work better so I tried it there but found the same problems. What do I have to do to get past this?
I'm kind of stuck at the moment. I've beaten the first and second levels and I'm working on the third(which is the ice one if I'm correct). I've explored every room possible at this point(unless there are secret rooms) except where I have to use something to hit/connect with a pyramid type object. I'm assuming this is where I use the hook-shot? Problem is, I don't have it. I have the following items:
boomerang(blue)
candle
glove
bow and arrow
wand
raft
whistle
meat
bombs
super-bombs
...and a few other misc items that I can't remember
Any help please?
Oh, and Dark Flame Wolf, congrats on a really good, challenging quest. Boy does this game sometimes get me ticked off...but that's just because it's good 😃
Sono Ryuu Sochi
I remember downloading this a while back and it was a alright. i remember I stopped playing it because it got a l little too difficult. Any hoo I downloaded it again and I plan to try it again! from what I remember it was a really good quest!
Wow! this is an awsome quest!Where is level two?
Compu Whiz, go all the way to the left on the bottom row of rooms in Libra level 2. There should be a room with a bunch of leevers and some vines on the north wall. Slash that and enter the next room. Inside the staircase is the magic boomerang. Those will activate those long-distance crystal switches. Sorry about your waste of money on that wooden boomerang! LOL From there, if you have enough keys, you can simply move over one room and go for the red lantern while you're at it.
Ryo_Sochii, your problem is easy. Use the wand on those diamond switches. That'll open things up right away. If you have low magic power, face some red darknuts. They usually drop a magic jar or two. And it only gets more challenging!
KooblaKahn, it is challenging, but not really impossible. Level 9, and the master dome do have some trouble spots. But nothing that a seasoned player can't handle.
Batosaijosh, Level 2 and any subsequent level afterwards requires a super bomb to access. So go stop by Desert Island and buy some super bombs from the shop there on the southern beach. As for Forest Island where level 2 is, let's start off at Town Island, yes? Take the left dock from Town Island past Death Isle. You'll come to a small octorok ridden island. Take the FAR left dock here again and hold left right before you leave the screen via the north raft route. This should take you directly to Forest Island. (If you headed north and then right, you'd run into Desert Island. Perfect for buying those super bombs and rafting right back to Forest Island)
Does that answer everyone?
GAHHH. Leo is quite good! However, I've found the Level 2 Bracelet and ran out of keys. I have no Magic Book either. Now I cannot continue, for it looks as if I need more keys.... but cannot find anything to do with the Bracelet! I need 3 keys, presumably more (knowing you 😃), in this little deal:
And here is my inventory to see the rooms I've been in:
By the way, I have the Boss Key already. That block push puzzle before the Boss Key was really hard! Great job on that one!
Thanks on the block puzzle. Level 8 is weird in that you must have 7 extra keys before coming to level 8 to actually complete it. You're probably saying: WTF?! Yep, there was ONE EXTRA KEY for EACH of the first 7 dungeons! All those 7 keys must be used in this one. Otherwise, you'll never complete it. THANKFULLY, if you don't feel like searching every dungeon again for those damn keys, the shop on Volcano Island just one screen left of the level 8 entrance sells keys for 500 rupees a pop! So if you got the money to blow, go spend it! Otherwise, your time in the quest will probably extend a few more hours searching. Try your whistle to blow yourself back to dungeons where you think you may have missed a key. If this isn't the case, then you are missing a key or two from level 8 then. Either way, the 500 rupee shop is always there for when you give up. 😉 Good luck! You're almost finished!
oh, btw, if you haven't done so yet, I highly suggest you complete Levels A, B and C before tackling level 9.
I counted 3 keys actually in Level 8 plus of course you need the 7 from the prevoius levels.
Thanks DarkFlameWolf. I had a feeling that those vines had something to do with getting farther but I never thought that I had to slash them. In fact I tried everything but slashing them. Thanks for the great quest.
It only gets better (and harder!). Enjoy. 😊
Ah, I see. Thanks for the help, but I simply swiped some keys out of the Master Dome! 😃 BTW, what do you get from the dome? (Master Sword, huh?) 😊 I guess I won't do it since I'm a few keys low (no, I really don't feel like buying a few keys or going through EVERY dungeon again!).
After that little surprise after Level 8, I went to Level 9, where I currently am. Can't wait to see what the boss is!
Question:
How does the whistle warp work? Do you have to beat the dungeon before the warp becomes active? And do you have to stand in a certain place to activate it? I am just starting level four and would like to have the warp active before beating it, incase I need to go get more potions
You're correct. You have to beat the level to activate it.
And for Pineconn....
SPOILERS!
For beating Master dome you get the letter which allows you to buy the master key. Boss's of level 9? Well there is 9 of them, all which you met before...
Not only that, the letter allows you access to the three best shops in the game!
One on town island where you can buy red potions (finally!), and a magic shield for DIRT CHEAP! And the all-encompassing Master Key for 900+ rupees! (like you need it at that point, but hey, its for completionists sake!) The other exclusive shops are at Goron Isle where you can buy super bombs and bombs dirt cheap. Zora Cave where you can get Bait and....um...one other item for dirt cheap. No worries about spending money again!
Probably saying, what is the point of these shops this late in the game? No point, just put in there for irony of the whole situation!

You're a funny one, you are. 🙄 So is the Master Dome absolutely neccesary, or simply a way of getting out of the keys of the rebattles of the 9 bosses (yes, the dungeon bosses  ) for the 9th dungeon?
By the way, great game (so far 😉 ). Shameful that this game will come to an end soon in my life... But I will then replay it!
The Master Dome is completely optional PLUS it is a failsafe for me. Since you have the option of doing levels 2-7 in ANY order (and for that matter you can finish level 8 before the rest), then there needs to be a place you can access somewhat early during level 8 (after you get the second bracelet) where you can go to to get extra keys. Note: There is at least ONE key for EVERY LOCK! So if you managed to find all keys available, you shouldn't need that key shop on Volcano Island nor would you need to raid Master Dome for them. Its just that, if you raid the master dome and not bother to find any more keys, you've effectively sealed off Master Dome for yourself. But then again, its optional and that is a choice I leave to the player. Wow, this thread is almost as big as my Hidden Duality one! 4 more posts!
I would like to know about the circle of stones. I know you need to play the flute in the center to get in but all I ever find there is rupees. Is that all I'm suppose to find or is the more? And if there is can I have a clue as to what and how to get that...
nope, just 50 rupees. 😊
Excellent quest, but I have to say I am a bit disappointed by the final boss. The level 8 boss puts him to shame! Oh well! Everything else was significantly challenging enough to compensate. Nice job DFW!
well, there isn't much you can do with Ganon unless you want to put a level 8 boss in there with him! bwhahaha, but I'm not that evil.
