My grandpa passed away. Its not been easy to deal with (he was like a father to my siblings and myself).

Let me elaborate. Years ago, I went to an arcade and wom a number of tickets. One of the the things at the prize counter that I had enough tickets to get was a bag of marbles, so I chose that (nothing else I could get was of much interest to me). Days later, when I went looking for those marbles, I could not locate them. To this day, I don’t know what became of them.
So I literally lost my marbles.
But I didn’t know about the elusive rodent before. Thst sheds new light on things.

It’s a little early to be planning for Halloween, isn’t it? I mean, the end of April is a long time before the end of October. But to each their own.
Its never too early to plan for Halloween. Some people put insane detail into their costumes and that level of detail can take equally insane amounts of time.
