Here are two big problems I've been experiencing with RC2.5:
1. Every time I use the mouse or the keyboard, it crashes ZC for no reason!
2. Every time I try to exit ZC, it crashes for no reason!
Serious problems with RC2.5
I opened Zquest and it froze for an extensive period of time. I had to terminate the process to get it closed.
Well, I finally figured out the case with these 2 crashes:

It appears these crashes only occur in Windowed mode, as I'm not getting these crashes in full screen mode at all.
Probably something wonky that gcc did while compiling it. I'm using (yet again) a new version of gcc/mingw and I think the other guys are still using 3.4.5. I would have expected some errors, or at least some warnings, out of gcc if there were any under the hood compatibility or linking problems though, and it didn't seem to complain about anything. There's nothing new in the code that could cause that all of a sudden.. so that's the only thing I can think of. Unlikely that this is a bug in that sense. ..Probably just my fault somehow.
4.5.2 here, and I think _L_'s using at least 4.4.
So, here's the same thing built on my system. See if it does any better.

Unfortunately, I'm still getting these crashes in windowed mode.
And I'm thinking that whatever went wrong when this build was complied, might be causing some sort of memory leak. There have been other crashes in ZC and ZQuest to have been caused by memory leaks.
EDIT: Well, Saffith's latest RC2.5 mod has fixed these window mode crashes.
