As you can see, for some reason, the items don't show up in the A/B window. They show up in dungeons just fine though. The candle is selected, and the sword doesn't show up at all.
Items don't show up outside of dungeons (R1)
I've seen items disappear from the passive subscreen while playing Link's Quest for the Hookshot. It happens when I pick up a triforce piece, though I am not sure why. I have to save/continue afterwards to get them to reappear.
Actually, I was just about to edit my first post. That is what happens. I noticed that they disappear after picking up a Triforce piece.
This one's fixed.
