I don't know what the current behaviour is, what the behaviour was back before 2.5, nor do I know what the intended behaviour is. All I know is that it's changed at some point, lol.
If I have an inherent bomb flag, and a secret flag on top and then I bomb a bomb flag:
In build 1281 - The bomb secret combo is revealed.
In some distant-past build - The misc secret combo is revealed.
I'm on dial-up, so I can't really download any other builds or upload any test quests or things of that sort.
I don't know, I can kind of see it making sense either way. I think having the bomb secret combo appear is more consistent with how things work in general, but having the misc. secret combo appear is probably more useful. I don't know how hard it'll be to change, though, and that may be the deciding factor.
Who would put the same flag twice on a combo? lol
Well at the same time, it's changed at some point -- if it was misc before 2.5, it's a compatibility bug too. But yeah, I had always thought that being able to have something different appear over each of the triggers was an intended feature.
One would hope that the placed flag would override the inherent flag- that would be the reason for placing the flag in the first place, right? By using the inherent bomb flag, secrets would be triggered by placing a bomb there, but there might be several places where a bomb could be placed, with different resulting graphics needed- you could place a bomb on any part of a 2x2 rock barrier, for example, and each resulting piece could have a different graphic.
Okay, I've changed it. It may be reverted if it turns out to cause problems, but I think it should work right.
