Okay, I am literally getting sick and tired of these notoriously random tile warp crashes!
Whatever keeps causing these to happen at random, could somebody with enough free time do some debugging to track down the cause of these random tile warp crashes? Because for quite a while, I have experienced other random crashes with grabbing items with the hookshots, entering a screen that plays secret sound on entry, and reflecting projectiles with the shield or the boomerang!
Tile warps randomly crashing ZC!
Did you get my PM? You should try the latest debug build, if you haven't; if it's working right, you don't have to do anything special to run it anymore.
It's more or less impossible for us to find what causes random crashes if we're not seeing them ourselves. We really need your help here.
And it turns out this is enhanced music related, as stated in Beta Discussion and the Change Log.
I don't think they're all fixed, though. The problems I saw were with MP3s and Oggs, not NSFs. Still looking into it.
From the ZC Wiki:
Enhanced Music - DMaps can optionally call upon external music files for music, falling back on the MIDI if it cannot find the file. Currently, this is the only way to play non-MIDI music. Zelda Classic understands the following formats: OGG, MP3, IT, XM, S3M, MOD, SPC, GYM, NSF, GBS, and VGM. The music file must be included in the same folder/directory as the quest file for Zelda Classic to play it.
Let me know if you see any problems with any of the other enhanced music formats listed here. But I myself have only used MP3 and NSF.
Yep, found another one that affects all music types. Fixed it, and I'm not seeing any more errors so far.
