While using diagonal movement, I can't push triggers from the left and right sides, only from the top and bottom.

Trigger (Permanent) and Trigger (Temporary) combos.
Well, those are called Step->Secrets nowadays, because, let's face it, "Step->Secrets" tells you everything about that combo type.
Anyway... unverified, unfortunately!
