Test Quest
When you set the super bomb ratio to 0 and purchase a bomb expansion from the more bombs room Zelda Classic crashes.
This is because...
X/0 = Undefined
Not sure if this bug can be treated directly, but perhaps a quest rule that disables super bombs which was my intent?
For now I've set the ratio to 99. But what happens if the player gets the Infinity Bombs?
Confirmed.
But if super bombs were disabled by a quest rule, they wouldn't even show up in the subscreen at all.
So we can now disable them awesome. At last...
I don't think that's what he did.
Technically yes, I checked shard storm. A division-by-zero no longer crashes ZC.
He fixed the division by zero, but he didn't allow you to disable super bombs.
And, what does disabling them even mean? Nothing drops super bombs, except if you feed one to a Dodongo!
So, in other words, if you don't want the player to have super bombs, don't give them super bombs!
Disabling means that by setting them to zero link will never be able to carry any of them.
He also cannot carry any if he is not given any. It would be pointless to explicitly disable them...
The more bombs room affects bombs and super bombs maxing both out last time I checked.
o_O, so the "would you like to carry more bombs" guy refills your bomb supply including super bombs? if you haven't ever picked up a super bomb before in the quest then the guy should only refill normal bombs.
Otherwise, it would be possible to acquire super bombs during the 1st and 2nd quests.
Not a bug, confirmed and verified.
But the division by zero issue has been solved, and that is all that matters correct?
Anyways, sorry for all the trouble I caused.
EDIT: Using the bombs cheat causes the player to have super bombs.
Yes, of course. You can also get any other item, whether it's in your quest or not (depending on the cheat level). If it concerns you that much, just remove the super bomb item from the sub screen, and Link won't be able to use them even if he has them.
