New bugs are meant to be posted in the 'New Bugs' forum rather than in the hub forum, just for future reference.
I don't think this is a bug, but an old authenticity measure that newer members don't know about.
I t appears that you've placed a selector tile on one of the designated Guy tiles, and it now shows this instead of someone.
Secondly, you can't have Link on the top half of the screen in a room that has a Guy and string in it; The area is blocked off to keep LoZ authenticity.
Now, if this is a later beta, that should be changed via Rules. It should be "Strings Don't Block off Top Half" or something along the lines of that.
The invisible Guy border should disappear when the string disappears!
Unless the person's got an empty string and the "Messages Disappear" rule unchecked.
