tooltips crashing zquest when entering a submenu?

It can't read some memory or something and then it crashes when you enter a new submenu. (Notably saving and the Zscript buffer) It seems to be caused by tooltips.

I don't even have to be in a submenu at all times for it to crash. Sometimes it seems to happen if I just move the mouse around a bit on the main screen (no error message; program just shuts down), and I've also observed it happening in the combo submenu (this time with an error message).

It is actually crashing on me randomly. I only got in Zquest for 2 seconds didn't even press anything and it crashed. It crashed 5 times yesterday, and it all happened really randomly.

Well, I don't know what's causing these problems, as when I compile 923 it seems to work fine... ...maybe it's something in Sean's build settings?

Someone tell me: the Leopard build doesn't have these crashes, does it?

ya, it does. leave the mouse pointer on the tooltip for awhile, move to the combo page, select a combo, place the combo on the screen, and BAM! Zquest crashes.
I had to downgrade to 910 because 923 is starting to get annoying with that killer bug.
all hail for back-ups.

Yeah, I'm seeing it being evil like that, too. I'll disable tooltips before the next beta (due out in the very near future).

I may be a little late to the party, but I've had this problem too.
Editing tiles- some times
Editing combos - under 2 min. without fail (or should I say "with guaranteed failure"😉 always on the combo layout screen not while I'm actually editing a combo.

DN has narrowed it down to ZQUEST trying to show tool tips for features that DON'T HAVE TOOL TIPS... thus crashing/throwing an exception.

Not that I've seen lately, but I might not even have them on. Let me check... No, not activated. I'll turn them on and let you know latter.

Since I've reactivated tool tips, I have been experiencing some crashing, It happens most often when I leave the Tileset and return to the map editor. I've also noticed it tends to happen most when I forget to disable one of the cores on my processor.
