After some digging and a crash course in basic Japanese, the title is "Gachapin Nikki DS". It's some kind of weird puzzle game targeted towards Japanese toddlers.

Its a nice picture of Tatt and Mail... Tatt looks just like a red mage Mail looks like she could be a female fighter... The only classes that were even worth using in the NES version of Final Fantasy.
At the time tough I had just "discovered" Popful Mail and thought it was a pretty cool game (Still do BTW)
