This an annoying bug, somehow the following combotypes don't work correctly:
Stairs, cave walk up/down, step->next, direct warps and drownable water(rule checked and water made walkable). But I'm quite sure there could be more.
Sometimes the combos work instantly, but sometimes I have to walk dozens of times over them to trigger... In a quest where I use drownable water I can even walk over water 1 out of 20 times without any problems, sometimes I drown in it... This bug is really goofy, I can't really figure it out... I can make test quest, but that would be quite useless since it might effect many, MANY combo types. Maybe also triggers/step->secrets but I haven't experienced that yet. It's best for a ZC developer to take a look at this...
[887] Warps, step-> next and more...
..............
I have one question. Is "Use Old-Style Warp Detection" enabled?
Uh, yeah, but it used to function just fine in the previous build(or 864). Now it all works like crap.
I verify it. If the floor is full of stair combos, you can walk around for 5 seconds like crazy til ZC finally recognizes that you are stomping on those damn'd warps. I could travel long distances on drownable water like it was solid plastic...
You know, I checked 864, and I didn't notice any difference. You sure something's changed?
Old-Style Warp Detection is supposed to be strict, you know. It's designed for non-diagonal movement. The drownable water thing's a problem, though.
I guess that's the problem because my quest does use diagonal movement. I will check without the rule checked. If it is, then it would be better for the rule to be more clear about what it does.
Okay, a solution is at hand.
