Hello, if you use signs and stuff that can be read multiple times with the B button on the one screen, holding down the button can cause it to loop after the message has finished being displayed. This is annoying because I may want to fast forward the message to quickly read it but find that it gets shown a second time because i held the button in slightly too long >.>"
http://www.sephiroth.ws/LoZ-MQ/LoZ-MQ-Demo1v2.qst any sign in this will show what I mean, just hold your joypad button down.
Those guys need to improve their signpost scripts.
Here's mine:
ffc script Person { void run(int m, int onentry) {
if (this->Data>0 && onentry>0) {
Screen->Message(m);
do {
Waitframe();
} while (Link->InputA);
}
while(true) {
while((Link->X < this->X - 8 && Link->Dir != DIR_RIGHT)
|| (Link->X > this->X + 8 && Link->Dir != DIR_LEFT)
|| (Link->Y < this->Y - 8 && Link->Dir != DIR_DOWN)
|| (Link->Y > this->Y + 8 && Link->Dir != DIR_UP)
|| (Link->X > this->X + 20 && Link->Dir == DIR_LEFT)
|| (Link->X < this->X - 20 && Link->Dir == DIR_RIGHT)
|| (Link->Y > this->Y + 24 && Link->Dir == DIR_UP)
|| (Link->Y < this->Y - 16 && Link->Dir == DIR_DOWN)
|| Link->Z > 0
|| this->Data == 0
|| !Link->InputA) {
Waitframe();
}
Link->InputA = false;
Screen->Message(m);
do {
Waitframe();
} while (Link->InputA);
}
}
}
Notice this snippet. Do their scripts contain something like this?
do {
Waitframe();
} while (Link->InputA);
I don't have access to them.

Care to explain how exactly you would use it, _L_? I see absolutely no comments there that would help me figure it out.
It looks like D0 is the message number.
D1 is set to 1 (or anything greater than 0) if you want the message to play when the player enters the screen in addition to the normal pressing "a" when next to the ffc in order to play the message. Set it to 0 for normal mode.
Also, make sure that the ffc's combo is greater than 0, and place it where you want the "person" to appear.
Hey _L_. A little explanation would help. Just posting a script doesn't automatically mean it's usable, you need to explain how to use it as well. What gives?
