Items you place on the screen are placed 1 pixel to far on their y-axis than as they normally should. I discovered this bug when placing items behind layer 3, specifically when placing them under layered tree tops.
[B 864] Items are y+1 offset.
I think that's by design, to match LoZ. I'd have to double-check the code.
Can't there be made an rule or such? It's quite annoying that the item is not where it actually belongs to be.
Indeed, I'd like to see this quest rul'd if at all possible.
I'm still waiting for a response on this...
Wasn't there a rule similar to this regarding placing items in passageways? I wonder if the two are related.
I posted a bug about this ages ago. I was told then that it was a compatibility thing.
Here. Actually, I reported that ZQuest and ZC didn't have the same placement (ZC was offset, but ZQuest wasn't). The fix was to "break" ZQuest. -_-'''
Back then, there was quite a bit of focus on LOZ compatibility, now however, such things are ignored for the greater good.
Not ignored; complemented. LoZ compatibility is still important. However, it's also important to be able to break compatibility when desired.
YES, There should indeed have a rule that fixes the item Y offset! Have it named somewhat, "Fix item Y offset".
New quest rule added in next beta to address this.
