In a quest I've been playing that was perfectly working in 860, most slashable combos, such as pots and switches, that were previously working, are now un-slashable, i.e., post won't smash or give me items when I slash them.
[863] Slashable combos
"Slash->Next" types, you mean?
I suppose so, yes. I found it in pots and switches, so that sounds right.
Could you offer me the quest?
Sorry. I assumed this would be easy enough to test, but here's the quest.
Um... not confirmed! "Pots" in that quest are Flowers combos, and they work fine.
Though, which DMaps have slashable switches in them?
Bug confirmed for b864. Combos affected: Bush, Bush->Next, Flower, Slash, Slash->Next, Slash (->Item), Slash->Next (Item), and Tall Grass. Ok, the first time you cut one of these combos, it works as it is supposed to (next and item ones included). However, these combos basically lose their properties and act as if they were of the type "None" afterward. When you leave the screen and then come back, you cannot slash them anymore. Note that if there are multiple combos of these types on one screen, they are affected by this bug individually. (meaning, if you slash one, leave the screen, then come back, you can't slash that one anymore, but you can still slash the rest of the unslashed ones on the screen.)
EDIT: More info... If you slash one of these combos, then do F6->Retry, the bug is still there when you play the quest again! (without closing the program, which seems to reset it back to normal.) You can even cause the bug to occur, hit retry, play another quest, hit retry, then play that quest again and the bug will still be present.
EDIT AGAIN 😊: And I think I may have found the main issue. When you enable "Slash" in Init Data, everything works perfectly. Leave it disabled, and all of the above happens.
So the specific error is with slashing, as well as only the second time you slash the combos. That explains why some random pots I could slash, even some in a row were randomly slashable while others weren't. Everything checks out fine.
I'm pretty sure the second dungeon has slashable switches just before the boss room.
Edit: Fixed!
