Greetings again.
I'd like to report another (I hope unlisted) bug about the bomb behavior. I buy a bomb ammo (5 bombs) in a shop for some rupees and I can't use the bombs ... only after I pick up a "normal" bomb, dropped by an enemy or as an item in a dungeon.
It's a bit annoying, so I've found a temp solution in my latest quest: I've placed the "normal bomb" as a special item quite in the beginning of the quest, so Link can use any bomb ammos dropped by enemies (usually one bomb). Same with the arrow.
Not a bug! You can't use ammunition for a weapon you don't have.
What you should do is set the normal Bomb as an Init Data item. That saves the bother of having Link collect it.
Oh, that's a very good idea, L, thank you! I'll do that, along with the arrow (wooden). I should have thought about this earlier. That's the best solution. 😊
There's only one problem... Enemies that drop bombs drop the Bomb (Normal) Item, but they do not drop Bomb Ammunition items! Besides, we can't edit the default item drop sets, nor can we make our own. :unhappy:
I've changed the current "Bomb Ammo (1)" to the "Bomb (Item)" thing, and vice versa. Enemies should now drop the bomb ammo, I hope (item ID originally).

Hm... I never thought of doing that before... Maybe I'll try that when I get back to San Antonio.🙄BTW, are you sure it would work?
I have exchanged the two items, however I haven't tested the changes yet. I'll do that on Sunday when I've got a free day.

I did the same thing today, and it worked! The bomb dropping enemies dropped the Bomb Ammunition instead of the bomb.
