Don't work no mo no mo
ZC no longer works with 98
Have you tried upgrading Windows? 😛
I wonder if it's because it was compiled with Visual Studio. I'll try to upload a version later made with MinGW (GCC).
My windows 98 is upgraded as far as it will go.
798 works, it's some change between that and 816
I get the same problem. I also reported this problem almost a week ago, when build 809 was out. The thread is here.
Try builds 818 and 819.
It could be because of a change in the way I made Windows builds... can't say for sure though.

Both the 818 and the 819 say they can't find the allgro42.dll

I think it's because of the name wich is "alleg42_crt.dll" I've changed to "alleg42.dll" and it works. (:
798 works with it named alleg42_crt.dll and 818 and 819 don't.
Since this is "bug testing", I don't want to make any changes to make it work that they aren't aware of.
I believe the issue there is that DarkNation compiled it with MinGW/GCC while others compile with MSVCS2008 which is why the name is different between the versions. It would still be a good idea to see if it works at all under Win98 so that the developers know to not use MSVC2008 when compiling.
and thus making all future builds use a specific file name :P
Try copying or renaming alleg42_crt.dll to alleg42.dll and see if that makes it run on 98.

Yea, removing the "_crt" allows the 819 program to run.
Fixed.
