Subway is having an essay contest for school age children. All U.S. citizens are allowed to participate..unless you happen to be home schooled and then you are banned from participating.

Subway and Homeschoolers
Yeah 'cause they'd win.
[former homeschooler]
So umm, call me naive, but why would they exclude homeschoolers?
Maybe cause it would harder to prove age and what grade they are in. I have no clue, I'm just brainstorming.
*agrees with Bel*
I was also homeschooled, and I think that it's total bull that they're doing that.
If a home schooled child wins, Subway can't look good by donating athletic equipment to their school.

I didn't know you guys were homeschooled. I'm being himeschooled right now. Yay for homeschooling!
Anyways, I'd guess maybe Subway's owner just has something against homeschooling.
I think Masamune hit the nail on the head.
Yep. It's all about getting your name out there... oh and the tax write-offs.
Open Letter to Subway: Let Homeschoolers Enter Contest
El Rushbo discussed this on today's show. (Story #4) Because I am nothing more than a mind-numbed robot I agree with him 100%.
...I thought the title was "Subway and the Homeless"...
[SIZE=2]Anyway although it doesn't seem fair, like people have mentioned, the winner would have trouble recieving the majority of the prize.
