****, I posted many bugs in the normal ZC bug forum, I think all of those should be deleted. Anyway, I post 5 bugs, in of course seperate threads:
I played a 2.10 quest in the 798 Build, at some screens, enemies appeared on solid objects:

The Quest Author (CastChaos) assured me that those were really solid combos and the enemies were not placed there by flags, which is also proven by the enemies changing position when re-entering the screen.
At least tell me what the quest is, please.
Confirmed, www.medievaltech.com/reclamation [hard version]
walk down at the start to have octoroks spawn on the cliff wall.
The quest is Ballad of a Bloodline, but CastChaos gave me a beta version, so I can't give in open. :uhoh:
Private Message the developer a link.
Some more, info, it may only affect 2.10 quests and it definably only affects overworlds.
EDIT: it affects dungeons too.
Okay! I've figured this bug out. And it's quite interesting, so here's the explanation.
Even I didn't know this until now, but The Legend of Zelda's "random" enemy placement pattern is not actually entirely random. In fact, each enemy is placed at a random choice of 9 locations. Furthermore, there are four sets of these locations, which depend on the side of the screen that Link enters the room from. (This is to prevent enemies from spawning quite near to Link.)
Observe the attachments. Notice the general placement of these random enemy locations. In the affected quests, there are screens where all of those locations happen to contain solid combos. The bug here is that when ZC fails to place an enemy in any of the 9 locations, it simply resigns and drops them in a solid combo anyway.
...
This also reveals to me another bug: sideview, for obvious reasons, should not use those locations, and should simply place enemies wherever is necessary for them to be on a platform.
Okay, easy part done =) (Identifying the problem and what causes it)
