Okay, sorry about the delay guys. I hadn't checked the SotW inbox in a few days.
This week brings us four fine samplings.

Link sets off in search of Dr Wilson...

EDIT:...okay, I probably should have verified MD's image before posting the link...

Well, probably not fair to vote until I see MD's. Freedom's shot looks very unique and just fun to play and Spyk99999's shot looks like it has a very basic design. Same goes for Linkus, but he's laying low obviously.

It was a tough choice, but I ended up goind for Freedom, just because it's so neat looking.

m_d, reminds me of the bit after Castor Wilds and before the Temple of the Winds that I forget the name of.

Yup, edited into the first post.

EDIT: ...its still not showing up? Egh, I've got a test to go to. I'll check it out in a few hours.

Hm, MD's is good, but I hate the palette, and I hate how those Gale trees look in Pure.

I made that palette and I really like it, so it's staying. And I love those trees--the DoR version is butt fugly.

Linkus: Voted. Very nice man.

spyk99999: Unfortunatly, a bit too...generic. As a regular screen among many in a quest it'd be alright, but as SotW...

Freedom: Love the cave background. But just...something looks off about Link's side sprite. It keeps bugging me. Probably the perspective.

Mighty Darknut: Second place in my opinion, if only because it actually looks different.

I have to say, I hate the Pure perspective trees. The DoR ones are so much better looking.

mighty_darknut wrote:Linkus' is pretty great. I want to know if those carvings in the mountains are custom. (?)

They are, along with the trees. I felt that if had to be similar to an offical Nintendo game, I had to use different region-specific settings much like Holodrum and Laybrinna did.

Although, it's a project scrapped before going anywhere. I might make "unused" region-specific items for the EZGBZ tileset, as if they were for the third and canceled game. But that will be later.

I voted for freedom. (like last week, just now posting.) Is it just me, or is anyone else baffled by the physics of Link's gigantic head not falling over while his limbs flail around trying to get up again. That thing is huge.

Anyway I submitted a shot for next week, err, I mean today.

Ya, Link does have a huge head.

I also submitted a shot for today, last minute, but noticed I forgot Zquest pictures aren't allowed. If you have enough entries, just don't post mine; if you don't, would it be possible for a 1 on 1 between my Zquest screenshot and Gleeok's (which would obviously win)?

Nah. there'll be enough screenshots. Maybe we give "SotW" an infraction for being lazy, that'll learn 'em. Or maybe a tuesday post...that'd be a bad trend to continue though.

Hey, Pure ZC's SotW was a day late. It would be funny if both sites were one day late in he same week.
