ArcTan is still broken

6 replies · 1,836 views · Started 04 May 2008

Unable to parse instruction 226 from script zscript.z
The error was: Invalid instruction.
The command was (ARCTANd2) (,)

For now, what you could do is, after compiling the script, go to allegro.log and copy the ZASM output to a new file, put a space between ARCTANR and d2, then import that directly. Will be fixed in the next beta.

It's still broken =(

Well I was just thinking, I could use pythagoras to work out the other side of the triangle, and then use ArcSine or ArcCosine, but I don't know whether we have those or not.

Thank's for fixing it, we'll hang in there in the meantime. 😉

Oh, also jman; Do you think you could explain or document the eweapon->extend features? Pleeeeeease? In particular the commands and pointers for sprite size variables such as customizing a ew sprites hitbox? I cannot find anywhere what those are and how to access them.
