I noticed that in the latest windows build, the Block Magic Combo (which was called a magic sponge in 2.10) is not blocking Fire Magic (the magic that comes from the wand if you have the magic book). But in 2.10, the Magic Sponge (which is now called Block Magic) does block the Wand Magic, even if you have the book. (<-In reference to that last sentence: In the newer 2.5 betas, the wand magic becomes fire magic when you have the book)
Block Magic not blocking Fire Magic...
Darn... Now I just noticed a pretty big problem with the 'Block X' code. This may take awhile.
_L_, what's the status on the block x code you're talking about?
Still doesn't work properly in 798...
The big problem is this:
1) The current Block combo types include ones that block lweapons and eweapons simultaneously ("Block Fireball"😉 as well as those that block below a specific level of lweapon ("Block Boomerang L1"😉.
2) The distantly approaching Combo Type Editor must therefore be able to allow custom combo types to block any combination of weapons (256 types), of any combination of itemclass levels (256 levels).
3) The current Block variable for Combo Types only allows weapons that existed in 2.10 to be blocked.
So I need to alter the data structure. But, how?
The question then is what kind of data structure I need to implement.

How distant?
Pretty distant!
Also, Dark Nation is responsible for it.
Post 2.5 distant.
Ah ok.
Just checking.
Well, since this is post 2.50 distant, like DN said, could someone please put this in Limbo until further notice?
What do you mean? This is a bug.
Oh! I just realized that you developers were talking about a Combo Type Editor, and you said that it is 2.50 distant. Sorry for my misunderstanding... :uhoh:
Fixed.
