In the default template, the right select attribute for Nayru's Love (Set to Position 18) is set to 19 in Active Subscreen (Alt, B+A), causing ZQuest to freeze. Therefore, I had to choose Active Subscreen (Alt, B+A), then right-click Nayru's Love and go to properties to manually reset the right select to 0 to make it go straight to the Sword instead of freezing the editor. Other than that, the attributes for all the other items in Active Subscreen (Alt, B+A) are set up correctly by default. In addition, the attributes for all the items (including the last position) in all the other active subscreens ([Alt, B], [New, B], and [New, B+A]) are set up correctly by default.
